This video will show you how I turned the smallest room of our house into a sewing room. I haven't been renovating for over 12 years and for my hubby it was the very first time. There were way too many obstacles to overcome, but it turned out beautifully - if I may say so myself. And I can't emphasize how amazing it is to finally not sew in the dining room anymore!!
Hopefully this video wasn't too boring!
Thank you so much for watching!!

It is nice having a room where you don't have to put all your sewing things away every day isn't it? I love your sewing room, it looks so clam and pretty.

Wonderful sewing room! It helps so much to have a dedicated craft space where you can just close the door on a partially completed project. I love seeing people's work spaces come together. I always get ideas from that.

I know nothing about renovating or flipping rooms but it was somehow very calming and comforting to watch you clean up and change the room! Love all the little unique touches such as the antique sewing box and outlet covers.

Amazing job on the sewing room assembly… and you just gave me so many ideas for my studio - the shelves and the sliding-door chest… with the added bonus of so many wonderful kimono styles! Billy, you make the best videos!

I love seeing other people's sewing rooms I always get massive sewing room envy. But then again I would never been seen of or heard from again if I did have one so perhaps it's for the best. I love the plug and light switch face plates - really pretty and suit the room so well.

I love your new sewing room! I sure does help a lot to have your own office :) I also got my own sewing room finished in April, and it's a huuuge difference. I don't have to worry about my cats or dogs being too interested in my fabrics or projects. I can just leave everything as it is, lock the door and relax. :)

Wow, what perfect timing for your video. I have finally decided to use my living room, which is about the size of your room as a sewing/workshop. I already have shelves but need to clean all the other junk out...lol. I hope mine is as cute as yours. Invest in a dozuki saw, it’s a lightweight razor sharp saw that you can use to cut troublesome shelves or rods or anything that needs to be cut up that you can’t get with a kitchen knife. Sandpapering it must have taken a long time!

Can you make a video featuring yukata made with indigo dye and Oshima Tsumugi + Yuki Tsumugi? The natural dyes in Japan are fascinating. I have done a lot of research if you’d like me to share what I know with you. Also the use of gold leaf in obi weaving is mind blowing! Please consider this topic, it would help promote traditional craftsmanship in Japan.
@BillyMatsunaga
@BillyMatsunaga 2 жыл бұрын
First of all: yukata can’t be made out of tsumugi. But anyway, I’m doing 2 livestreams in my Patreon every month covering these type of topics. In case you’re interested in learning more about it 😉
