My parents are coming with us in January and I think we’ll need one or two. We’ve never had to get them before so I’m nervous. I just want them to have the best time.

If I book an ecv from a different website do what do I do when I get to Epcot do I tell them at the desk I rented a ecv do I show a receipt

If you book an ECV from a third party website you will need to arrange a pick up [and drop off] time with that third party company. This will usually take place at your hotel and not at the park. The counter at the parks is ONLY for those renting from Disney and will not handle third party rentals.
