One of my favorite REO songs!

As far as Kevin's vocals. Unlike most other great singers of our time who have been beating up their voices for the past 40 years, Kevin has been professionally trained since about 1985 and takes excellent care of his voice and is still one of the greatest singers of our music generation I just saw them in concert last year and he was "Spot On" without any lip syncing or technical tricks whatsoever. Dave is great as well, but I do understand that this was Gary's unique style of playing, and is hard to copy with the same attack and emotion as he did. But Dave is an excellent guitarist and does a great job with all of the REO songs!

Amazing vocals on this one. Proves Kevin CAN still do it, but is just really reluctant to belt it out anymore for fear of losing his voice.

This is one of thier best songs, one of my favorites!

Hey, Dave did a good job (note for note as far as I'm concerned) giving Gary kudos to this song. I hope he did it to honor Gary, cause....damn, Gary ruled. Dave, good job, Gary was awesome, the whole reason I picked up a guitar. So, thanks to REO for being who you are.

One of the few great misses of my life. I was a fan of REO at about the time of 'Hi Infidelity' but in all honesty forgot about them. Then one day I spotted a MASTERSOUND Gold CD of 'Hi Infidelity' and snapped it up. Oh and what a revelation....truly GREAT music sounding brilliant on the MASTERSOUND Gold CD as well. Apparently the 30th Anniversary release is remastered...interesting! Would be better still if they released it on some form of Hi Res i.e Blu Ray Audio, DVD-A, SACD etc

I honestly didn't think KC still had it to do this song, given that he has shied away from "One Lonely Night" since the WAT tour, which is also a very, very challenging song vocally. Poor Dave Amato, every time he appears, people are wishing Gary was there...I wonder how he deals with it...

Quit not being Gary Richrath!

I wish people would move on from the whole Gary Richrath thing and quit slamming the current line up. Gary and Alan have been out of the band over 20 years and people are still griping about it. It's past. Over. Wish the current band well and move on. I actually thought they did a great job on this song, even without Gary and Alan. Yeah, Kevin's voice ain't what it use to be but how could it be? He must be pushing 70! Pretty good pipes for that age.

Mr Jonguess, I do not agree with your statement, and it is not a "fact". Dave plays Gary's licks, and for that he's a better guitarist?? There are thousand guitarists that can play Eruption faster than Eddie Van Halen, but that makes them a better guitarist. The brilliance is in the music, and Dave did not write this music. In fact, I cannot name one REO classic that Dave wrote--because he didn't write any of them! I do think that he adds vocally, but Gary was not horrible.

Gary was a great guitar player and song writer. Get one thing straight. Dave Amato plays REOs catalog better then Gary ever did. Dave is twice the guitar player and a better vocalist. Thats fact. Take your emotions out of it and look at it objectively. Prime case and point. Look at Gary playing golden country and look at Daves version. Dave and Bryan pulled REO from the boot straps. Love Gary fine but dont disrespect Dave.
