Unique original timber workings are still in place in this deep cold wet abandoned mine on to more adventure and exploring of the history of these Welsh and ancient mines

An interesting level ,with the old tools and mineral deposits, even though nothing to be found in the flooded winze. You never know what is beneath our feet here and it is great that you are exploring and recording for future generations.

The 2 timbers at top of winze supported a floor and door, that could be lifted for access to ladder, ventilation flow is the first concern in these old workings, and would have had to be reconfigured when the two drives broke through together, (an old workings miner)💫🙏💞

Think you should have had a closer look before turning the ROV around.... Like Ioan thought, it looked to me like there was a hole in the floor against the right hand wall...?

Is there such a thing, all mines have area's of wet and dry, as you mine through different ground

Not many deserts in the UK. Lots of rain = lots of ground water = wet mines everywhere,

If you look at previous videos there are drier mine trips but by their very nature mines are usually wet to some degree, this happens because of ingress of rainwater from open workings to the surface and also due to hydrostatic pressure.

You guys should crowdfund a big truck with a pump to drain every mine for exploring deeper..

"That's a big ask"🤣 for instance the Golden Mile, Kalgoorlie Western Australia, had ten thousand miles of drives down to 5,200 feet, not counting all the ore Stopes, there are literally mountains of waste and mullock surrounding the town, and even though in desert country, it is low lying salt pan and the water table is close to surface, the water is unusable, and a pipeline runs 400 miles from Perth to supply water
