The rich pay most of taxes. Top 1% pay 42% of taxes. The top 5% pay almost all taxes. The problem is not the rich, the problem is Biden causing the invisible tax called inflation and it is massive. The Democratic party is very much not in good hands and to pretend otherwise is doing a disservice to every person who lives in this country. A vast majority of politicians in both parties are bought and paid for by lobbyists, and if they manage to stay clear of this corruption, they trade stocks based on inside information to make huge sums of money. This game is corrupted to the core and needs transformation. The few like AOC when she first entered congress are few and far between and rarely in actual positions of power within congress (eg. Bernie). We need to confront this reality or they will continue to steal from us in the form of privatized healthcare, low wages, no worker benefit requirements, tax loopholes etc. The fact that Biden is the most progressive president since FDR is a sad statement. Before COVID Trump had a much better economy than we have now. $2.25 gas and cheaper everything including rent, food and clothing. That is why 65 percent of independent voters say in a recent CBS poll they are worse off under Biden than Trump. Say what? Tesla is an American company with American workers. She bought American. And yes, there were few electric cars a few years ago. Biden set the tax incentive to those cars made in the US only as a way to induce Americans to buy American built EVs. Eventually, the South Koreans will built plants here to make them. The big three are lagging behind the Europeans and Chinese. They know the writings on the wall. If we allowed the Chinese to build plants here or import here, they would be toast. The Chinese have developed EVs for every purpose. And what does GM do, stop production of the Bolt, an affordable EV to make more EV trucks. Beyond stupid. There are EVs available in Europe like the MG4 that are affordable, have good range, and are fun to drive. Europe and Asia are way ahead of us in alternative energy and transition to EVs. When the new battery tech like solid state batteries as Toyota is developing, gets going in the next few years, and the infrastructure improves, you won’t have to worry about range anxiety. I plan on buying a full electric affordable small truck when they get to that point.
