helloooooooo! okay so for the past year ive been seeing all the awesome dragon dolls ‪@Dollightful‬ has made and it inspired me to make one for myself! ‪@KrystalDolls‬ and i decided to collab and each make dragon doll repaints! hope you guys enjoy!

small square brush:
princeton chisel blender velvet touch
tiny brushes:
-princeton velvettouch round 20/0(my fav)
-wargamer "the psycho" army painter brush (its actually called the psycho, this ones quite good. its not as stiff as the one above so i find i have a little less control but its still a nice brush for details)
-arteje 100/0 camlon micro paint brush( this ones quite a bit stiffer than the other two but its a super tiny brush. its a bit hard to control but probably the finest brush i have)
I use a liquid brush shaper i got from blick awhile ago with all these brushes. this has really helped me with their longevity and keeping their shape which is kind of difficult with really fine brushes.

Uwaaaaah you're so sweet! I wasn't expecting to featured in your intro, aw shucks. I remember the first time I used apoxie sculpt and it felt like trying to sculpt with silly putty. The horns came out looking so cool, despites the "bad decisions" lol! I love her so much!! The scaley legs, the feet, the face... She's such an awesome dragon doll :D Fantasy clique yaassss

I think it’s just because a lot of doll customizers are very “cutesy” and energetic, which isn’t really a bad thing but Jackie’s personality is so refreshing and much more my style

I love Dollightful's dragon's I hope to see more like Ice, Light, Skeletal (skeletal dragon with scythe reaping evil souls) Tech, & maybe Storm. Your dragon looks beautiful, she could be dollightful's dragon Aurora's older cousin Aria who studies potions & conjuring. If you want a series how about Frightmares or maybe a Pokemon Fashion Series staring with Tsareena, Pheromosa, Primarina, eeveelutions, what other pokemon would you like for the fashion series? I don't know if Hextian likes or dislikes pokemon I've been asking him that question and no respond what do you think Jacky? Should he try making Tsareena someday? Hope you find the Series you want & Keep up the great work. :)

her dragons and really just all her dolls are amazing! thank ya! im glad she looks like she could hang with katherines dragons lol i actually dont know....has hextian ever made a pokemon doll? i dont remember seeing a pokemon doll from him. maybe he doesnt like pokemon. im definitely gonna weigh out all the suggestions for a series and figure out what id like to do :)

I looooove her!! Such a clever idea with the scale texture from another doll, as well as the knees for digigrade legs. And I agree with the foot tendons. They add alot of depth and life ~

I love her so much!!!! I had fun collabing with you! I am inspired to get some metallic pencils now! I have used that fabric before and it really does fray like crazy, it's so pretty though and her dress came out amazing!

collabing with you was a ton of fun too! its cool that we made two dragons that are so different from one another :) ahh get some metallic pencils! they arent the most essential thing in doll repainting but theyre a nice add on for subtle little details. i have a ton of duo chrome fabric and i usually just use it for accents but making a whole dress out of it was just alotta hassle haha

its a pretty easy way to add a joint! although i think ya can get more of a double jointed bend with the popsicle stick method.

You’re dolls are so gorgeous and I always feel inspired by Dollightful too! I haven’t tried to customize a doll yet, but I can’t wait too. I love how honest you are when things don’t go right the first time. I know for me on my projects, currently crocheting, I always want to scrap everything and start again. Also, the honesty between you and your husband is cute.

thank youuuuu! oooo its a really fun hobby! i definitely recommend giving it a try! yea, with customizing i feel like its kind of rare for things to go perfectly(atleast for me) and this doll was an extra intense example of that. hahaha im not gonna lie sometimes i totally ignore his opinion because i like something he doesnt like but in the case of this doll he was kinda right.

Its not dry brushing if the paint is wet, just a little side note. What you're doing is giving it a wash with watered down paint. 😊 But it looks really cool, I like her a lot!

In art dry brushing is with a dry brush. It's why it called dry brushing a wash is with thined down paint. I did go to college for art so yeah.

she's gorgeous!! as someone who sews when i saw the fabric you wanted to use for her dress i screamed hahaha omfg. that stuff is so hard to work with in person scale, i cannot imagine how annoying it was to work with in doll scale. your patience is admirable and the final outfit looks sooo cute!

She came out amazing, I know how hard it is to make a dragon doll repaint as I recently made a steampunk version and dollightfuls vids really helped. As for a theme, I love the face up on your dolls and I think they would look great as fairies or pixies but with an elemental twist e.g fire, water, earth and air, and then possibly the 4 seasons e.g spring, summer, autumn and winter. But I know that whatever you come up with, I will be watching as I love your dolls ❤️

JackyOhhh yeah the steampunk dragon was my first dragon repaint and I loved it, I made the tail ball jointed so it’s quite movable and the wings are the lollipop stick design. I’m on instagram if you would like to see it #HeartHorrorDolls 😊

thank ya! i think with apoxie people should do whatever theyre comfortable with. i didnt wear gloves for a long time with it and never had a reaction but i always used it super sparingly. when i sculpted the feet for this doll i used way more of it than normal and my hands felt a bit weird and dry for a couple days so im just gonna wear gloves from now on. mostly because i read some scary stories about it online haha

very nice design, my thoughts on the skin paint would be that a little more yellow would give the paint more of a match. also an exacto blade could probably work as an eyebrow razor.

so nice, and the process you did to bring out the scales is called washing, you added a wash to the doll. I do miniature painting for dnd minis and its a pretty common thing to do.

I love your doll and the make-up on it is amazing! As for your question at the end of the video: a theme with different fairytale creatures, like trolls and fairies, could be interesting and you’ve already kind of started that theme with a mermaid and a dragon.

I would love to see a troll. They usually aren't pretty, so it is challenging to make it recognizable, but pretty. Ogre would be awesome to. They usually have so much muscle, you would have to borrow hands from a male doll and scalp her abs.

@@jackyohhhxo I love Dollightful's dragon's I hope to see more like Ice, Light, Skeletal (skeletal dragon with scythe reaping evil souls) Tech, & maybe Storm. Your dragon looks beautiful, she could be dollightful's dragon Aurora's older cousin Aria who studies potions & conjuring. If you want a series how about Frightmares or maybe a Pokemon Fashion Series staring with Tsareena, Pheromosa, Primarina, eeveelutions, what other pokemon would you like for the fashion series? I don't know if Hextian likes or dislikes pokemon I've been asking him that question and no respond what do you think Jacky? Should he try making Tsareena someday? Hope you find the Series you want & Keep up the great work. :)
