hellooooooo and happy almost halloween! Im doing 3 halloween doll repaint videos this month and this is the first one! I know my halloween repaints arent the scariest or goriest but theyre all dolls that are considered monsters so woo. I mentioned in my last video that when I saw the cave club dolls I knew I wanted to hybrid them with some sort of a head so thats what this video is. Hope you guys enjoy!

small square brush:
princeton chisel blender velvet touch
tiny brushes:
-princeton velvettouch round 20/0(my fav)
-wargamer "the psycho" army painter brush (its actually called the psycho, this ones quite good. its not as stiff as the one above so i find i have a little less control but its still a nice brush for details)
-arteje 100/0 camlon micro paint brush( this ones quite a bit stiffer than the other two but its a super tiny brush. its a bit hard to control but probably the finest brush i have)
I use a liquid brush shaper i got from blick awhile ago with all these brushes. this has really helped me with their longevity and keeping their shape which is kind of difficult with really fine brushes.

haha thanks! yea, my eyebrows are naturally pretty unsymmetrical so I dont really sweat it if the dolls brows are a bit different.

I am so excited to be getting into this hobby, since I raised boys into anime and video games, I missed what was going on in the doll world, and I am super excited about all of the artistic possibilities I can explore with dolls. So cute! I love seeing different dolls than the popular monster high, ever after and barbies. So these were such an awesome surprise! Love their little faces and the I like that you also blush the bodies so they match nicely. Nothing worse than seeing a yellow body with like a pinkish head.

im obsessed with the blue that you add to the skin , ive never seen anyone do that to dolls especially warmer skin tones but it adds a subtle cool and i guess airyness to the skin that i adore T^T

Girlie, you need to stop apologizing for your art. YOURE AMAZING! THIS IS WHAT YOU LIKE! If you only made art to satisfy the needs and wants of other people, it wouldnt be YOUR art anymore. Some people won't like it but your standards are all that matter in your creative process. As long as you like it, that's enough. But for the record, there are a bunch of other people who like it too :))

The faces you make are so pretty. They have so much life to them. I like that they're not I gorey, bit still manage to reach the halloween look. I've had trouble mixing and anything heads and bodies. I have a doll that I got at a junk store. It had a huge head, with a. Tiny body and a SUPER SMALL neck hole. I broke my scissors... So....yes. I love them!! I think the pretty anime demon type still on a doll is PERFECT, you nailed it!

I absolutely love these dolls! so adorable! I am a total newbie when it comes to dolls but I am a long time artist and sculpture in general. From the date of this video you have probably already learned better techniques with Worbla. I have some suggestions to use tweezers and apply very little pressure to avoid dents and that way you do not burn your fingers. Heat Resistant gloves are great too. Also Yes! A heat gun is sooooo much quicker to heat up the products. Worth the purchase! especially working with foam. I love your videos. Thank you for being one of the talented doll artists that has inspired me to start creating dolls myself.

I loveeee your style of art! The only thing that sometimes throws me off is the white line over the whole top lip and not just the cupid bow. It kind of reminds me of a milk mustache haha

Loved this sm!! Both of the dolls are so cute and the gold ones face is so cute! I like the gold one a lot, but maybe like putting some hair in the face would be adorable since her hairline is pretty high lol. But it’s great anyways!! 💛🖤

Loved Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba! Nezuko!!! Love how you own your aesthetic. We’re human, individuals, we all different! We don’t all have to like or produce the same thing, thank God! Your aesthetic grew on me only cause you live it and owned it, now I see the appeal, you can tell it’s one of your repaints miles away, I dig that Use tweezers or sumthin to hold the warbla under the heat instead of ur fingers? I woulda used a couple layers of warbla for the sandals, hey and heat the warbla first on a plastic surface it won’t stick to, THEN mould it as required, not holding it in place while heating will help too ;) They are flipping adorable!!! Love them sooo much!! My fav is the gold one too 😍

ive been wanting to watch that anime! yea, i think i just have been getting quite a few negative comments/questions about my style lately so ive been feeling the need to explain it so i can stop explaining it in comments hahha. i tried using tweezers but those heated up as well. i think im going to pick up heat resistant gloves for the next time i use worbla. thank ya! im glad you like em! i think youre the first comment ive seen preferring the gold one. everyone seems to like the sassiness of the silver one.

I was wondering if warbla was super hot when you're using it. Thanks for letting me know! Also, I'm pretty sure Poppen Atelier is Superwoman and doesn't feel pain like the rest of us mortals, so she doesn't struggle with warbla being hot. Have you seen how she just willy nilly handles hot glue?

its not so much the worbla that gets hot, its holding the worbla close to a hair dryer to get it to get squishy that burns the hands :( i know!! i always watch her and im like 1. how do your hands not hurt and also how is her worbla not flying all over the desk because she normally just sets it on the desk and doesnt hold it in place. i just have so many questions haha.

To help you out yea a heat gun is a life saver. I should say finger saver. But yes useing a heat gun is so much easier then the hair dryer. I think you are very talented, so think u for sharing it with us. Stay safe

Adorbs. Everything you create is frakkin fantastical and I am in awe of your massive artistic mojo and style. Re: Worbla Use a heat gun --- or an embossing gun since you're working on a smaller scale -- then for pressing, use plyers or metal spatulas to help hold/shape the item to the foot. It's better to heat up the worbla on a heatproof surface first and then shape it rather than trying to heat and shape it at the same time. :)

These are so cute- they remind me of devils from Dorohedoro a bit. 😂🥰 maybe to avoid burning your fingers you could hold the worbla with some long tweezers, model it to shape wearing gloves. ❤️

Don't forgive your giant brass knuckle/bag Holder/display piece. It works amazingly well for your purposes and I kind of love when it shows up. Just knickname it. "Knuckles, the weft maker"

Omg totally amazing girl!! 🤯🥰🤩🥰I loves these 2 cuties, the silver is my fav! You inspire me so much ❤ Your clothes design/ sewing has came along way very quickly. ( clap clap clap)Your kimonos were beautiful. Where did you get the pattern? I personally think the kimonos not fitting worked even better because their tiny outfits are too die for!! Super cute wings too! When I use worbla I hold it with long point tip tweezers with a heat gun. I'm still learner so I dont use it often. Other artist make it look soooooo easy..lol What program do you use to edit? I'm hoping to at least put a little something up on my channel soon. thank you!! im glad ya like em!! hahaha people seem to really like how the kimonos came out, i think with sewing i only really see the flaws alot of the time. i looked at poppen ateliers geisha mermaid video and altered the pattern she used on that. im gonna try the tweezers or pliers and pick up a heat gun. maybe i can find a cheap one on amazon or something hopefully. i use imovie and final cut pro to edit. i think you can only use those on macbook but if you have a macbook theyre pretty easyish to use. you have a great day too!

@@jackyohhhxo Thank you so much for replying. Your so amazing and I love watching you transform your dolls. All your halloween dolls were so fantastic! Idk how you did 4 dolls plus all the video editing etc in 1 month. You go girl! I bought a cheap singer sewing machine at walmart for doll clothes but I haven't used it enough to say if it's good. I'm a bit intimidated trying to see these tiny clothes on the machine. Honestly I just hand sew any clothes I make. I can already tell you have improved so much with your sewing/making doll clothes. Really I wished I had waited to buy a machine because ive barely even practiced on mine. But I did buy dollightfull's etsy patterns and requimart patterns hope to try them out soon. I dont get much time with my sassy 6 yrs old..lol I thought this year I'd get more time to practice but covid messed that up! 🤬 Hope your having or had a wonderful Halloween!! The bodies are from the Cave Club line by Mattel, and the heads are a Mico head for the light skinned one, and an unknown head for the tanner one. I dont know if this is what you were asking but hopefully that may help a little?

Try heating the warbler on sticky tape (upside down) like Poppen does. She heats it up whilst it's laying flat, then shapes it once it's soft. Or you could get some silicone finger sleeves :)

A couple of solutions to the bobblehead problem is either wrap the neck peg in rubber bands to thicken it up, or you can stuff a plastic straw in the head or two. Weird trick I read about

ahhh ive seen that fix.i thought about doing that but i didnt think it would work because the head just sort of sits on top of the neck peg because its not hollow.

thank you!! im glad ya like the format of my voice overs. ive tried to script them but im not someone who reads things outloud well. i just kinda sound robotic haha. im gonna probably paint another one of these dolls and modify the body pretty heavily. shave down the cankles and make the thighs/legs thicker since they have a pretty intense thigh gap. that probably wont be for a bit though.

i haveee. it makes it very difficult to capture all the details in the eyes when you take photos when they have gloss on them.

its a mico doll :). uh...im not really sure where they originate but theyre a doll line. theyre a bit hard to find but this seller on ebay: www.ebay.com/sch/samantaltd/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from= sells some of their heads. thank you!

To Jacky o the dresses are cute but also really revealing on the dolls bust area there gaping a bit much so it’s showing off a lot of skin like a geisha would but according to you there baby demons right so cover the gaps ok but other then that they are cute.

I use a tea light candle for heating worbla, it still burns to shape it, but it’s the price you have to pay using it, sigh x

these heads are a bit harder than normal vinyl heads so pastels and pencils show up really well on them however if youre looking for some really pigmented pastels pan pastels are great and so are the mungyo hand rolled pastels.

I would love it, if someone can do a tutorial how to use the sprays ( example: Mr super clear ) and explain how to use it while doing the painting :( I Don’t Know what I’m doing wrong and it’s my first time painting dolls, but I keep messing the faces of my dolls, because of it and even sometimes the spray gets or make bubbles in the faces when I use it :( Please someone educate me lol I don’t want to give up in my bjd dolls ( they cost a lot money just to waste them and not being able to do nothing ) I know people keeps saying just do a bunch coats but I still don’t get it lol do my spray got bad? So I’m using the wrong one? I Don’t Know lol but I’m desperate lol and if it’s really by the weather? I’m screw lol where I live it’s always cold and cloudy lol 😂

kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtaXe8ygyaysdmg.html if you go to about the 4 minute mark hextian shows how he sprays msc in this vid. i typically do 3 coats before waiting 15 mins between each spray and maybe 6 coats while applying pencils and pastels. basically just whenever you cant get more detail you spray. i also seal with 3 coats at the end. ive never heard of msc causing bubbles though. like id assume just by hearing that maybe youre applying too heavily? msc does get affected by weather but right now its pretty cold where i live and i walk out on my deck, spray quickly and then bring it back inside pretty quickly so i dont notice that the weather affects my repaints alot. if you arent already, make sure to shake the can a ton before spraying and if you store it in a cold space sort of warm it up before spraying. some people put the can under warm water for maybe a minute, in the past when my cans been a little cold ive warmed it up by just putting it between my thighs when im sitting. anyway, hopefully all that helps!

i love the cave club dolls body sculpts but i wish the feet/ankles were either smaller or the hands were bigger to match, i know that it’s because of the whole cave women thing and probably so they can stand on their own and support the heads but it bothers me :/ love these dolls :)
