i love the spirit stuff ....to me Ghostbusters is about the individual on how the equipment is to you the person on what you want it to look the creative possibilities are endless

Great job sir. I really love this spirit Halloween stuff. The GB purist in the Facebook groups have been pissing me off with their hate for the stuff but I think this stuff is wonderful

For the spirit Halloween PKE meter I’d like to see some one add the grid on the screen. I already weathered mine and it looks great, but I feel that the screen is just too plain.

marvinshelbygt I agree. I think adding a grid to the screen would make a big difference.

Check the video from Punished Props. He took the screen out, scored the grid lines in with a knife and a ruler, and it looks great. Better than most mod screens I've seen.

Thanks for this tutorial. Just got everything taken apart, only took maybe half an hour or so. The face shield wasnt too difficult with a really small precision flathead screwdriver, but I also think I may have gotten lucky and it just wasnt nearly as glued as yours (maybe they've changed adhesives or just started using less as well. The rivet, likewise, wasnt so difficult with a rotary tool and a flex shaft grip. Looking forward to starting painting tomorrow.

Just F.Y.I, you can use much longer strips to simply cover over, and then use your XACTO KNIFE to cut out the areas like the screws etc. It saves you a ton of tape AND more importantly time. Also, using a paint pen on the screws is alot easier as well then using a brush. A little foam weather sealer will make them fit A SHITLOAD more comfortable as well. #TheMoreYouKnow Also full disclosure, I found myself here after backing the HasLabs Proton Pack and Neutrino Wand and decided to go full blown cosplay with it. So after watching multiple videos on here back to back I've compiled the easiest and best upgrades to certain parts as well as found extra props and what not. So TY very very much.

Ive seen repaints in a number of different shades, yours seems more blueish, while mine was a little more olive green. Whatever the color is chosen its better than the paint job they come with . Great vid

Thank you, I used a paint that I had leftover from an earlier project. It is definitely on the bluish side of green, but I think it worked pretty well.

Great job! I am going to mod my spirit pack. But before that I am making my son a proton pack with just stuff around the house and cheap things I can find. Not screen accurate but I think it's coming out great! (Dan from inside the booth)

Inside the Booth my first pack was made from wood and random stuff from around the house & dollar store. It was too heavy & didn’t look very accurate, but it got me started. Good luck with your builds.

Wondring if the light side arm can snap on and back off, I have a pair coming to me, but in the photo I have the arm is detached inside the box new. What would you recommend if it's broken ? Maby superglue?

I was sent to your page for my question that I asked on GHOSTBUSTERS News. First I like your paint job. Second I love the snap idea for the top. Now I come with my question. A while back I found the schematics on what parts I would need to make my own Ecto-Goggles. After seeing what Y'all (Jason and yourself) have done with the Spirit Halloween ones, I was wondering. I have found some of the screws for the lens part of the build. How hard do you think it would be to take off the Plastic "Dials" on the lens, drill into the plastic, and screw in the screws for the effect? Plus would it mess with the LED in the lens? EDIT: If you are looking for a idea for the PKE Meter. I have a idea. I think it looks great. but the clip on the back makes it look like a cheap toy and not like a Prop. What if there was a way to take the back off. Patch it up, and make a carrying case that would attach to the belt. Something that you could slid it in and out of. Now if I could just get a 3D printer for the Walkie Talkie. XD

Halfax7 I don’t think you would have any trouble drilling a small hole into the lenses as long as you’re careful. If you look closely at the inside pictures of the goggles in my video you’ll see that the electrics are pretty simple. Not a lot of wires. So I’d just advise you to be careful and take your time when drilling. As for the PKE. if you’re interested in a leather holster, those tape measure holsters would probably do the trick.

The Cartoon Man it didn’t have a color name on the can but it was Valspr Project Perfect Flat. Hope that’s helpful.

For the P.K.E. Could you fade the really bright colored lights? Not the screen.

David Burcham I don’t know much about wiring stuff. If you compare the inside of the PKE to the inside of the goggles... it’s night and day. PKE is way more complex.

I wasn’t talking about dimming the lights electrically, I mean cover them with something. Tone down that very bright color. Believe me I don’t know anything about wiring things. I’m just talking cosmetic.
