I love it when i can't tell that I'm watching scan play. Like he's looking like royal or something kinda. Except the way he zones out stuff and chips away at isolated nexuses is super scan-like

Scan is hard not to root for in these games. Ruin was playing like a madman in the previous group and then took game 1 against Scan. But Scan slammed the door shut and won 3 straight. Awesome series. Thanks for posting Artosis!!

The only game where Scan lost was due to unwinnable position, so really it was like 3-0 victory.

In Ruin had some chances to pick off siege tanks with the reaver drops, and instead focused on SCVs/turrets consistently. That seemed like a big mistake, since it made it easier for Scan to shut down the drops, and the tank count was never taxed to weaken the later push. Killing eco is all well and good, but on 2 base, going from 50->36 SCVs isn't that much of an eco loss if you don't need to rebuild them, and he opened himself up to pushes by not killing army when he had the chance. Same thing with the storm drop at the end in game 2. Diving in and trading units for SCVs is fine when you're in a position where Terran can't attack yet, but if you throw away all of your tech units that are needed to deal with a push in the attempt, you can't stop the attack.

Why aren't the players mentioned in the title (or thumbnail) anymore? Group and match as well... To me it matters a great deal who is playing and if I'm hyped to watch it. This is a particular good example. I almost didn't click on this one either and would have regretted it. Artosis + Scan vids are what has provided me the most insight into the skill difference that exists. From watching like 90% of the vids on this channel in sure I would have recognized plenty of the other players as well. And in turn watch the videos, more so if the title promised something juicy. Instead I skipped most of CNSL up now :( But I got plenty to watch now :))

even if it was possible - the refinery is much wider, mech would not pass between two for sure. Terran should be able to ban this map, but PvZs are cool though. Is Protos able to open those gates with Assimilators of its own?

14:44 Sending in the goons after the zealots already went in probably cost him the game

u sure it wasn't all those suicided shuttle drops? the goons were supposed to go at same time as zealots, but miss controlled because ruin was microing the double shuttle drop at same time. look at minimap 14:27 . sorry to clarify relation to 14:44, what may have happened was he planned to hit with both zealots and goons, but was microing drop on his screen. Because after his drop was shut down, goon group was still alive, probably assumed they won fight, a clicked forward to third. Then realized did NOT win and pulled back, only lost 2 goons. The zealots lost hurt much more.

SPOILER BELOW: Man, I’ve been really liking RuiN’s style. So sad that he got matched up against Scan. Scan really rocked RuiN aside from the first “gimme” map. RuiN’s style is so cool to watch but Scan’s fundamental intuition just demolished his momentum. Rooting for Scan and Saber this point forward. Thanks for the casts RT

@artosis please consider lengthening the end of the video with black screen. The purpose is to make the video appear longer than it is to avoid spoiling the result. Gomtv used to do this.

Spoiler filler: Loving Scan's TvP, he just looked like he outclassed Ruin this time around. That Troy game doesn't even count and even then, blind 2 rax he gave himself the best chance that he could. As Arty said, the map looks auto win for Protoss proxy 2 gate.
