You can also try Windows Boot Genius (bit.ly/2OVTlZn) to repair Windows 10/8.1/8/7/XP/Vista to fix all Windows won’t boot, blue screen, black screen, etc. effectively.
If your having computer problems like reboot loop or corrupt windows files using Automatic Repair to repair Windows 10 is a good start. Automatic repair or Start up repair can fix, resolve and help recovery of some common issues in windows 10. This solution may not fix all of your PC Boot up problems, but is a good starting point. It can resolve corrupt registry keys and Windows update related issue. Another common computer problem is having a corrupt software driver or program. Running Start-up Repair on your computer can fix problems that keep windows from loading on your computer or laptop. Remember this tool is not a one fix for all tool, it has its limitations, but all is not lost, you have other options open to you like, system restore, System image recovery, Refresh your pc and Reset your PC.
Step 1: Place the CD or USB in your drive and proceed to boot from it
Step 2: When the install screen pops up, look to the bottom left and select "Repair Your Computer".
Step 3: You will now see a screen that says "Choose an option". Select "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced Options", and then "Start-up repair".
Remember backing up you're data on a regular basis can save you s lot of hassle in the long run.

@@albedeen6513 True that would be stupid to sue them. But some of these problems literally can not be fixed with simple work arounds. I personally have experienced NOTHING but headache with windows 10 updates and have done EVERYTHING humanly possible to fix it and you just can't do anything in certain situations. This undoubtedly not the fault of the user. Too many people have too many problems with windows 10 for it to just be user incompetency.

Ok guys, with the new windows 10 update which looked really cool, everytime I booted up my whole desktop would stop responding when I signed in, I was helpless. What you have to do is go back to an earlier version. To do this, go to your power button once you boot up your pc, hold shift and press restart, once your onto that go onto troubleshoot and somewhere in there you will find a button that will convert you to an older version (the one before) for me it worked amazingly.

DanDaBruh When you're on the sign in screen, at the bottom right there should be a little power icon. Click it and hold your shift key(left one) and click restart and hold it until that blue screen appears (the one that allows you to restart your pc etc) Go onto troubleshoot and I forgot where it is, but there should be an option allowing you to go back to an older version of windows. Click that and it's fixed (for me)

airsoftgod211 Nope, I went into safe mode, recovered as many files as I could onto a flash drive (only about 25%,the rest were corrupted) and I had to factory reset it. Fuck Windows 10

You may have inadvertently given me the clue to the fix for my desktop computer when you stated there wasn't anything wrong with Windows when you got the message, "Unable to repair" after running the Automatic Repair. That was the same message I got, and I had kept thinking that my Windows had crashed. It turns out that one of my SATA connectors was broken, so one of hard drives was not operating. In addition I discovered a memory error later on that I fixed by cleaning up all the contacts. All is well now. Thank you.

Mine has done this same shit for the last 5 days. I've tried all the ways explained over many videos and still wind up right back on the blue screen saying unmountable boot volume. Terrible shit! My pc is old but my friends is only two months old and super good, his has done the same shit too! If your computer is stuck on Preparing Automatic Repair (mainly for HP Windows 10, may work for others), try this: Turn off computer. Hold down the windows button and the V button. While holding that down, hold the power button for 2 seconds, then let all the keys go. It should take you to a black screen that mentions a reboot. After 10 seconds the screen will automatically change to the Windows System Recovery. Save your files before running the System Recovery to restart your computer. If this doesn't work the first time, keep trying until it does. It may work the tenth time, but eventually your computer will find the System Recovery.

brunaso you need to get a windows 10 ISO and install that ONLY on the OS windows partition (do not delete the recovery partition), after reinstalling windows from an ISO try factory resetting it again by going into 'Reset my PC' it will work.

HELLO BRIT! Am an avid Subscriber, you are my first 'Go to' when diagnosing PC issues! I recently built a new Computer in my old Tower with a new Raidmax Vampire 1000W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply, an MSI Z390-A PRO Motherboard with an Intel Pentium Gold Processor G5400 CPU @ 3.7GHz! Next added 64.0 GB DDR4 3200 Ram! Also a ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1 Video Card! Recently upgraded all my HHD's with an Intel 660p Series M.2 1 TB SSD Drive C and two WD I TB internal SSD's! My Computer now boots up completely for a cold start in 30 seconds!!!! (Once in a while when I turn it on, it Boots into the Bios Screen)!!!(But when I wont to boot into Bios, no matter what key combination I press it wont go into Bios on Command)! Windows will not display on my Digital Monitor but I can see the Bios Screen on another HDMI Output to my 32 inch TV! Am running XMP Mode and Gaming Mode on the MSI along with allocating 3/4 of my Ram to Process my Adobe Premiere 2022! My Question is: How do I get the computer to Boot into Windows EVERY TIME? And secondly, How do I get my computer to boot into Bios on command?

I've tried nearly every option on those repair pages. Finally I got my computer to reset to a previous condition which was set at an earlier date and a drop down said the reset was successful. When prompted to restart my computer I did. THEN it told me "Windows is not responding." I'm looking for a different OS to use because In my opinion after all that's been said and done - Microsoft has lost / abandoned respect for it's customers.

Good luck man this has happened to me twice and i still havent gotten my old laptop back, i hate Microsoft and will never get it again. Rather have a $1,000 working laptop then a broken ass laptop thats gonna do this everytime. This time it happened after 2 months of having this laptop. Fml

Make sure you pull your battery from the laptop unplug it from your power source hold the power button down let go Everything then you can put your battery back in their power back up

Darkria Animater we'll best way I meant was pull laptop battery and then upplug the charger, if you then hold your power button it should kill any power left running and you should be able to boot back up after you power back on. It worked on my Asus

Guys, I found a short and easy solution for the people who's computers are restarting when they're connected to internet. 1) Turn on flight mode 2) Restart with flight mode on 3) Once you get to your browser, turn off flight mode 4) Do whatever you usually do If it doesn't work for you, I dunno how to fix it cause it worked fine for me.

I turned off all Services in msconfig accidently. When i get to the screen for start-up repair it asks for my password. I am the administrator and see my name, when I enter my password in the white box I get notice that 'password is incorrect". Has anyone solved this problem? Thank you

1:50 - Fair enough but mine reboots at will very often and it warns not to let the restore process get interrupted while using this feature after choosing a restore point.

I have to ask. Is windows 10 as robust as windows 7? Because it seems Microsoft seems to think so but the general sentiment is something else entirely. The reason for my question is that Microsoft seems to be making it harder for us to help repair windows 10 from disabling the default F8 boot to safe mode but Microsoft changed that, then there is the default disabling of system restore and now the disabling of the registry backups it use to make. I really don't understand what Microsoft is doing.
