How to fully REPAIR Windows 10 without losing your data - Full Step-by-step Guide

Hello everyone! Today I will show you how to fix your PC, when Windows is broken or won't boot at all, WITHOUT LOSING YOUR DATA.
Even if you are not a tech-savvy person, don't worry! These steps are easy to follow!
👩‍💻 Terminal Commands (copy and paste):
• Advanced Scan ➜ DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
• Scan and repair Windows components ➜ DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
• Repair Windows ➜ SFC /scannow
🧐 Steps:
1. Boot into safe mode by:
I. Holding the Shift key on your keyboard when clicking on the Restart button, or
II. By continuously powering off your PC when it reaches to the boot loading screen.
2. Click on "Advanced options".
3. Click on "Troubleshoot".
4. Click on "Advanced options".
5. Click on "Start-up Settings".
6. Click "Restart".
7. Tap on the "F5" (or "Fn+F5") key on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode with internet on.
8. Run the legacy PowerShell/Command Prompt as admin by:
I. Right clicking on the Start button and clicking on "Windows PowerShell (Admin)" (or Command Prompt), or
II. Holding the "Windows key + R" on your keyboard and typing "powershell" in that tab.
9. Paste, by right clicking on the terminal, and execute one-by-one these commands:
"DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth"
"DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
"SFC /scannow"
10. Restart your PC. Everything should be fixed.
• If Windows is corrupted beyond repair, then:
11. Boot into safe mode again.
12. Click on "Advanced options".
13. Click on "Troubleshoot".
14. Click on "Reset this PC".
15. Click on "Keep my files" and wait for the process to finish.
• If even this doesn't fix it, reinstall Windows ➜ • How to Install and Act...

I ran into boot issue after trying to install latest windows 10 march 23 updates. It just messed up several things including reassigning the wrong drive as boot device, dont know how its done that...

Can you boot at all? If not, I suggest you flash Ubuntu into a USB and run a live version of it. While booted, copy and back your data up to another drive. Then, install Windows from scratch (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b62ZgJp7xLrdeYU.html).

Yes. It will fix stuff in the background. Worst case scenario explained at the end of the video, is that you'll need to reset your device. But still Windows 10 and 11 give you the option to reset keeping your data.

@@BredzPro i already did it aaand the app are all uninstalled its both good and bad because some app are draining my ram and now my ram is safe🗿 bad part is my Tf2/roblox/valorant ect ect are uninstalled well most of my offline games are file soo pretty much all good the vid to resetting windows is pretty useful, thanks!

If you can't even boot to Safe Mode them your Windows is beyond repair and you need to reinstall it. To save your data, I'd suggest you boot into Ubuntu through a USB to access your files and transfer them to another external HDD/SSD or USB.

What I have been doing for many years. simple, but effective solution: This is worst case scenario: This best works when building (setting up) a new computer. Buy a small storage SSD HD. 250Gb, install your windows OS. Buy a bigger SSD HD, for your normal storage. The smaller HD, store *ONLY* Window OS Files, Bigger HD for any thing but window files. When Windows breaks, if you cant fix, just re-install.. NO FILES LOST. Viruses and malware only attack window files, Other drives should be safe from all the bad stuff. Always keep a flash drive handy with Windows Media on it, ready to install or used it to repair.

If you can't even boot to safe mode, I am afraid you will have to format your PC by reinstalling it.

Unfortunately, you'll have to wipe everything and reinstall Windows. If you have data to save, I suggest you use a live installation of Linux from a USB and save your data to an external drive.
