For anyone3 trying this. make sure you get your polarity correct. And use PPE and do it in vented area/outside. THe gases coming off are hydrogen and oxygen, In the perfect ratio to ca-boom. Always switch off the welder first and wait for the fumes to go away, before braking connections.

I think I need one of those little welders I doubt they are capable of welding anything thicker than a tin can but for this job it’s perfect . I’m a believer that this process really does work and it will give a worn out battery ( due to natural causes ) a new life. I see a potential business opportunity here! Great video. I think you answered any questions I had about the process.

It's easy to flush the rubbish out of the bottom of the batterys and fill with new acid, we used to do that 35 years ago but I can't rember having any real success doing it.

It appears that you have put the ground cable on the positive post, creating a negative polarity, which will charge the battery in reverse polarity, causing the positive post to be the ground.

Great idea bud I had a battery explode close to my face after putting it in the battery box of my superstock had it charged but the gases were still coming out of the vents from caps as I didn't let it rest arcked out from spanner touching roll cage will doing up terminal saw a flash and then the loudest boom in the garage lucky I pulled my head out of the rear of the roll cage in time ,ran for the bathroom scared the crap of me ,then a few weeks later the pit crew were grinding a side rail thought they had cover the battery which wasn't in the racecar then boom ,was surprised you didn't have the caps resting over the holes as you could see the gas coming out seems like it works but for how long , cheers , shaneo , nelson, 👍

It's a stratification charge! Doesn't desulphate at all.

It doesn't really work all the time. All it does to mine is charge it. 85A max, that's when the electrode starts glowing. The battery doesn't hold charge for more than half a day

Have tried this although once battery cools down and kept for around 12 Hours 12.8v dc gradually reduces to 11.9v dc

sure this stuff works but it kills the CCA rating, you also need to dump the acid out and clean it and then wash the plates and bottom out then put the original acid strained back in. once you condition it you need to clean the acid again...but you still FU the CCA that battery is only good for accessory and back up use perhaps put it in a dune buggy, it sure wont start a car in winter... edit instead of the welder you can use a start charger that delivers 50 amps leave it set to burn the sulferization off but doesnt blow holes in the plates...
