I'm glad I searched this! I have a 12v DC/ &120v ac boat refrigerator, this particular refrigerator sells for over a grand! I'll be trying this!

I'm going to give this a try. I could buy a new fridge, but so many have bad reviews about serving damaged (even when picked up so the store, the guys must toss them around in the back), shoddy make, and dying within a year. Our listed nearly 20 years and just died. They want $159 to just come out. I could buy a new one for the same price, but I'm old school where you fix stuff! Now I just have to convince hubby to try it!

It's called "Project#22-Mini Refrigerator Fix (PTC Relay Replacement" by Vance's How-To Video Library. I also had a hard time taking the cover off from my Danby Designer fridge due to faulty drawing on one face of the cover.

Excellent video. I replaced relay with no problems but when I turned it on the compressor clicked and I thought ah, success but another click and no further noise so I left it on overnight thinking maybe that was normal. Left it on all night but no results. Now what?

Unfortunately, that COULD mean the compressor is locked up. You might try it again and tap on the compressor while it is in the click phase and see if it will come alive again. That works from time to time.

I got a similiar fridge. Noticed today it would just click every so often and it wasnt running. I touched the compressor and it was warm. I hear nothing running. Would that relay be the problem or does the relay not control the fan?

I checked the AC voltage of the 2 wires, its like 1.5vac...does that mean I should check the board as well?

The exterior walls of my rca mini fridge are hot to the touch. Do you think this is the issue? I do hear humming from the condenser

My mini fridge was working fine and stopped. I noticed the compressor is hot. Is that something you noticed when repairing these?

No. If the compressor is over heating, then you probably have a freon leak causing low freon. If it got too hot, I will be damaged.
