America's Best Comics No.12 Conservation Episode 7.
In this video i continue the Comic Book Conservation process on a copy of America’s Best Comics #12 from January of 1945. This is a rare desirable issue featuring a war effort cover by the incomparable Schomburg. The CGC Census has only 16 Universal copies!
In this episode i review the results from episode 4 and perform the mending of the cover of this comic book with Japanese tengujo paper and wheat paste. I review the relevant paper conservation literature, the materials used, and the decision-making process to match the correct materials and methods to the conservation project at hand.
