Fantastic ammo company when Peter Pi was involved in it and I'm sure that is continuing. My personal carry load has been and will continue to be the 185+P 45 acp with the Barnes bullet. I have harvested many deer with it, and unfortunately had to use it when a man broke into our house while my three year old daughter and I were at home. In all cases it performed flawlessly.

Nice tracks. With a standard deviation of 2 you know CorBon was counting the grains of gunpowder on these samples.

I remember my dad buying CorBons for his defense gun when I was in my early teens. I'm 49 now so you can see they've been around a long time. Simple equation. Speed with a no frills jacketed hollow point. Works.

I carried 135 gr Cor-bon in 40 S&W until my agency adjusted its policy to issue only guns and ammo. I only "used" it on a rural schoolyard skunk, but it was impressive, whereas the 180 gr limpers we were issued basically just poked holes in things. Those 135s were cooking as fast as 1980s 357 mag rounds. They were high $ then, but not as high by comparison these days.

I like that type of performance too. 94 degrees and 11% humidity where I live in Arizona today. I spent the day on the roof rebuilding my swamp cooler, but for sure I'd have rather been out shooting!

@@donwyoming1936 Without the swamp cooler running my humidity meter in the house reads 1%, after it ran all afternoon and well into the evening it reads 8%. Living in the desert has it's disadvantages, but humidity isn't one of them.

Moral of the story, which we have seen repeatedly on your channel, good velocity means good reliable expansion even with lower quality ammo. My CCW is 357 Sig loaded with premium ammo so I have no worries about power or reliability.

Flippin’ Cor-Bon is an awesome company!!! Alexander Arms did the same, or better, for me years back when I had inconsistent Bullet seating on some .50 Beowulf. @raa2640 This was indeed good performance for a 9mm +P but by far not NEAR! the best. Try testing the Underwood 115 Grain +P with Classic Nosler projectile rates at 1300 FPS or the Even Hotter DoubleTap 115 Grain +P rated at 1400 FPS. These are kinda snappy in a Micro9 but still The most knockdown powa in a small 3.1” barrel platform which is what most people today carry for CCW. Although through a full sized 4”-4.5” barrel these loads would be moving WAY!! To fast

I'd say those did exactly what they are supposed to do. I like my 124gr to scoot at 1200fps, and those fit the bill. Double thumbs up.

Tools you rock brother👊🏾I’ve always been curious about the Classic +P Corbon loads back in the day was legend to have rivaled the .357s but for availability reasons I never tested them. After seeing this review I wasant too much impressed at all. That was good performance for a 9mm +P indeed but would have no doubt over penetrated the Bad man unless hitting hard bone. Today for a matter of fact I just re tested the underwood 115 Grain +P rated at 1300 FPS 420 ft/lb muzzle energy. They Had enough velocity even in my Micro compact shield 3.1” barrel to fully expand to a whopping .73 caliber but only penetrated 10.5” although with such a large wound channel under normal circumstances would be plenty enough to reach the vitals. I also DEMAND you retest all the Winchester Ranger T loads against a normal 2 or 3 layer cotton T shirt summer time attire to be more realistic this time of the year😁😁😁😁 Please do and I know you will

Good video my friend, wow, is good performance! The bullet is optmal exspansion for high velocity, good for pcc for my opinium. Good velocity and optmal powder probably use the Cor-bon ammo. Sorry for my english 😊

Nice!! I’m one of those that are perfectly fine with that penetration. Factor in bones and different density organs, tendons and so on. Very consistent with the numbers too. Awesome retest good sir. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

Much better performance than those heavy bullets for sure. I want to test some of the 147 gr bullets out of my Rugger PC Carbine with the 16 inch barrel. I'm thinking the extra barrel length may make the heavier bullets perform better. Thanks for the testing.👊

Lucky Gunner did an interesting test of velocities in a 9mm 16" PCC. Federal 147 grains stayed subsonic, but the 124 gr +p got into the 1300-1400 range I believe.

I usually carry Hornady Critical Duty or Federal HST ammo, but this might be another good alternative.

Those energy numbers are impressive for a 9mil +P round out of either barrel. I was so impressed with your experience with the MC9, I now carry it. I’m not sorry for that. It’s a great sub/micro compact. That being said I’ve watched too many of your videos to buy every good round you test. I will stick with 124 +P HST or the Underwood XD 90 +P. If I was still looking, I would consider this one for energy alone.

It is the Sierra 125 gr JHP "Sports Master".

That makes sense. That's the same bullet used in the Outdoor Master ammo loaded by Sierra. The bullet does very poorly at standard pressure velocity from what I tested.

I will take that, anything close to 400 fps in 9mm as long as it opens is ok in my book. Have a good one brother see you on the next one.

Any chance of the old school CB 115gr JHP getting some air time? The Sierra bullet it used was one of the most accurate loads I used., and it worked well.
