I have a 96 Dodge Dakota 5-speed transmission. I need to change the throwout bearing. Where do I start? And I have a new bearing with the spring. And a alignment tool. How easy is this and how quick can I get this done? I guess what I'm asking is how hard is this going to be

I have a similar set up, how does the slave cylinder side of the fork retract when the clutch is released? I don't see a spring that would pull it back, and I don't see it attached to the push rod of the slave cylinder. Sorry but I am building my set up from scratch so don't have the original parts to compare.

I just changed throw out bearing an pressure plate an disc on 2007 dodge nitro got it all back together an now the clutch pedal has no resistance an clutch isn't engaging can u help please

I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 3.9v6 5 speed i have no reverse no 5th and a weak as clutch pedal that does shift but dam near goes easily to the floor bought the truck 2 years ago aftaid its the slave cylinder and last time i changed of of those it tooks hours

Just did the clutch on my truck Dodge Ram 1500 5 speed I didn't see the clip put the new clutch in and everything and it'll only go in 4th gear

What grease did u use for the throw out bearing and clutch fork?

I've been trying to remember, but it's been a while. Reason it took me a week to respond, ... i just don't remember. I want to say white lithium grease, but I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. Perhaps someone else will chime in?

@@stevehardeman7209 hady clutch replaced at a shop. After waiting 3 weeks to get it installed the manager calls me and says they can't finish my car because the "clutch retaining clips are discontinued" I was pissed so I called the first dealership on google and gave them the part number. The dude said they have a whole box in stock and they were 2$ a piece so I went and picked up a couple and dropped them off at the shop... Needless to say I'm not going back there ever again...

Got mine from the dealership . Be sure and get someone to help you that is competitive . First guy at the deslership parts department clearly was a rookie who didn't know enough ( in fact , claimed the item was not listed in the system) . On my way out i stumble across a "experienced salesman" that knew right away what i was looking for ( even cross reference the part number) . Anyways , next day i had the new clip in my hand ready to install. Big difference. Time is also money.
