I here you my man, been there done that… I just took apart my whole cooling system before the winter. Have a small leak right by the tranny thermostat, I believe it’s the hose but while I have it all apart I mine as well replace everything needed, I mean who want to do this twice but third time is a charm on the expansion tank for me. With 170,000 and original electric pump, thermostat and radiator, I may replace those and a Tranmission Cooler and Thermostat. What’s another $1500.00 bucks right? BTW did you use any silicone lube on the o-rings on yours? When I took mine apart there was this orange lube on the O-Rings and other plastic parts I don’t remember putting in. No I didn't use any lube... I should have probably though. I would change the pump and tstat. 170k is way overdue.

@@chadrawlings142 chad you did a great job. Kids or no kids now my grandchildren are that age and don’t have the energy for them because I’m constantly working on my BMW.

I did a few things the hard way.. lol!! like taking the clips off with a knife.. just push the backend of the clips and the move off. lol
