The Crew and I replace a bad motor with broken arms along with a good chunk of the pot broke, leaving the windmill useless!

Do you use four point sockets for the nuts and bolts? I'm completely restoring a Aermotor and can't find a tool supplier that sells the proper sizes. Thank-you! Love the videos.

Yes we do, I'll double check the sizes for you, all the old style spokes and nuts are square so it is a pain sometimes! And thank you very much for the support!!!

Sorry, have been meaning to get back to you, we honestly don't know the exact size, my best advice would be to buy a square socket set off Amazon or another online outlet, what I can tell you is if the middle spokes have square nuts too, they will be the same size!

I have two a aermotor windmills both for decorative purposes in yard neither has anything driven by them but recently my 8ft has stopped spinning and when I inspected and it’s like the shaft from the wheel/blades to the gear box is trying to walk out causing it not to spin any ideas were to possible look for the problem I’d appreciate any help thanks!

Sounds like you have a problem with your small gear's bearing, as long as your small gears and large gears are okay you should be able to purchase a bearing overhaul, you'll have to take all the sections off because you'll have to pull the wheel shaft ( part that has the holes for the spokes to the sections) off and possibly replace that as well if it is worn down, I have footage to a full overhaul video I was going to post once we have the parts come in so I can put it back together! Hopefully that will help you in taking yours apart!
