Hi Friend, I am trickle charging my car battery through Dewalt 20V using LM2596 and it's working really good and have been using it for about an year from now. Now my question is I want to protect my Dewalt Battery from going too low on Voltage and I tried using XH-M609 and LM2596 together but it didn't work. Now what do you suggest me to buy which might help. I appreciate any help please.

Yay, another how to video that the maker puts obnoxious loud EDM over instead of taking advantage of the time by explaining the process and teaching some helpful tips. Thanks?

What is the rated current of the converter ? Probably around 1A, not enough for the RC car.
@E12DEV3 жыл бұрын
What converter? It does not need any converter, normally this car is powered by three AA battery each of them running on 1.5V, total of 4,5V for car... one li-ion cell is at 3,6 - 4.2V, so there is no need to convert anything. Battery is connected directly to the RC car electronics... That board you see is charger for the battery...
@JohnNy-ni9np3 жыл бұрын
@@E12DEV , Oh I thought you supply the car with USB 5.0V from the converter. So you supply the car from the lithium battery directly. The battery actually have voltage vary widely from 3.0V to 4.2V , so your rc car on average operates at half the power compares to the alkaline one.
@E12DEV3 жыл бұрын
@@JohnNy-ni9np It is not my RC car, Iam just guy walking past this video, and I saw some comments so I tried to help :) And I agree that this is not best way to do it, it would be better with some kind of stabilizer with discharge protection...
@kovalenkoihor43253 жыл бұрын
@@JohnNy-ni9np Actually, 1.5v for alkaline it's when they are fully charged. Usual is 1.35v. And nobody is using alkalines for such a things, because they are drown down very fast. Usualy some rechargeable Eneloops 1.2v, what gives us in total 3.6v. And Li-ion at its 3.7v flat gives much more power. And much more current than any alkaline. I usually do the same thing.
@helijim3 жыл бұрын
@@E12DEV That board isn't just the charger, it's also the BMS and it is current limited to 1A output. You can't just connect the car to the battery as it will go flat and destroy the battery, hence it has to be wired through the charger/BMS.

WARNING: DO NOT SOLDER DIRECTLY TO A BATTERY LIKE HE DOES, this could lead to a fire do to overheating and rupturing the battery, you can watch linus tech tips video on making a power bank to see the proper way to solder a battery
@HastyRhombus760 Жыл бұрын
I have soldered directly to batteries literally 100s of times over the last 20 years without any issues. You just need to use common sense and not blast the thing with extended heat. Why do you think they make pre tinned battery strips (AKA solder tabbing) for connecting them when building a pack?
