Got it thanks! Just bought a 2009 BMW 335i for $7,000 from BMW Annapolis. Original owner clean CarFax 117,000 miles. The computer wasn’t working and the headlights only shined about 10 feet down the road. I brought it back and they said i need a new head unit and headlight assembly. I asked them to replace the headlight and i would take care of the radio (since I want to do something like the Eonon 7inch touchscreen). They said deal. So I love the car. Your videos are awesome. I just re-dyed the leather with a $20 bottle of BMW matched Oyster leather from Leatherworld. 3 coats and the seats and door panels look new!

Didn't know it was so simple. I'm probably going to do this now I have no idea when the last time this was done on my car was. Thanks

Perfect timing, just ordered one for my E92.

Yesterday I found out, while scraping ice from my windshield and setting the heater to max, that my E90 actually doesn't smell like shit from the outside. That's when I came to the conclusion that I might have to change the cabin air filter. I guess that's the first time in 16 years someone actually changed that damn thing. Should now be a cheap fix knowing that. Thanks!

Aye I'm working on a cabin filter vid for my car lol, crazy, and your After Effects game got stronger! And I'm shocked you never changed your cabin filter, you should check your air filter, it's prob worse if you haven't changed it, and it's more important than the cabin filter lol

I thought the cabin filter was behind the glove box. just checked mine and there is a bolt missing from my assembly. Gonna order one from Amazon like u did. Prices are cheaper and I am Prime so the filter will come in 1 day. I ordered 5 things a week ago on Ebay and they still haven’t arrived. I’d rather give the business to Amazon anyway. US Postal Service is terrible!

Why did you wait for so long to change it? Wasn't any bad smell when using the AC? I make my service every 12.000km which occurs roughly at every 6 months and always change all filters. Also would be a great idea to clean your AC system of all the bacterias since you changed the filter after so long. Ps: great vids :)

OMG, you just got to replacing it now?. You did not clean the housing that the filter is placed in unless it is clean still; prior to putting that back in the car. Great DIY video overall.

Hey JB question , my 2011 e90 I need to replace my PCV as my car started to make an awful whinning noise . Now my PCV is actually intergrated to the cover which I have to replace completely . How much you think this job is worth ?

I don't know about you guys what i do when i put new pollen filter i spray frgaence on the filter both sides so when i turn the heaters or ac on it smells nice ?

Hey justin, if your car's interior smells funny it might also be the AC Evaporator (it was for my e91). It's quite an easy job to disinfect that as well. Maybe you can pick this up in a future video ;) - I try to post a link to an instruction as an answer to this commen, (it might not be shown to you because of youtubes crazy commenting policy that forbids links)

Justin, that filter was clean as hell compared to some I've seen!! I worked at a Honda dealership, I've seen some that were in cars less than 5 years old that were _completely_ black! A few coworkers had seen dead birds, dead mice, bugs, and many other nasty things! I had to clean out hair from one once, God only knows what in the world that was from!

JB, I changed the air cabin filter today, the plastic clips on the two front screws broke, so I can't screw down the front, do you think I need to replace the whole cover? Or am I good as is? It's still pretty flush. Thoughts?

I change my cabin air filter but let's be realistic: Do I really think I'm protected by harmful elements in the air while I'm driving only to get home, hop on my bicycle and go on a 30 mile ride huffin and puffin for my life? Yea, NOT. But I do check and replace it. But I don't live a lifestyle (and prolly many others) that truly benefits from it. It's a gimmick. Gimme a filter to filter leaves, sticks, fart fumes and zombie skin parts when I run over them but beyond that..........Pffft!.
