Laura, your Mom and Monica were so gracious at the store yesterday! Your Mom chatted with me about the dog I had with me and I felt like I'd known her forever! She was working on the "peacock tree!" Lol. Super-fun shopping trip with my sister! Saw your Dad in back and he made a quip about the dog! Everyone at Andrew's Seeds was so nice! We bought some fun Christmas decorations, bulbs and bulb food. Worth the drive over from Boise! ❤

Seeing you planting tulip bulbs again (knowing how much you dislike that job) is inspiring! Now I have to get it done too! Hey, Just a thought. Biltmore House has a spectacular tulip display every spring and they underplant them with pansies. Perhaps those beautiful lavender colored ones would make those gradient pink tulips sparkle even more!

Standard roses would look purrfect in the formal gardens around the Hartley. I highly recommend the "Aotearoa rose". It has the most exhilarating scent of any rose I've grown before and the blooms are a deep cerise pink with a hint of apricot. You might find this rose hard to find but it's soooo worth the effort. You know you just fed that dang squirrel like a king? We had them get into the garage and eat the water hoses out of our washing machine! Destructive but cute. Maybe you can set up piles of nuts (really hard nuts) so it takes them a long time to get into. I save my first cup of coffee for your videos and you never disappoint!

Hi, Laura. Have you consider putting a Lagerstroemia, also known as Indian lilac tree somewhere around Hartley? It blooms all season long and comes in many different colours.

I have a potted boxwood that died on one side. The other matching pot is beautiful. They have been in the pots for many years so I got a lot of pleasure from them.

I have a hard time visualizing spaces, but I've watched you so much, I was actually able to picture the space in my mind with all the beautiful tulips 🌷. You are a bright spot for me❣️👍 thanks for being you!

I love that you went with the same color in all 4 beds. I would have kept all white on each side but those allium are going to be gorgeous mixed with the white tulips. Fun fact… tulips were the first flower I learned to draw lol. 🌷

Hi, Laura and Aaron. Thank you for all of your inspiration. It concerns me every time you talk about the potential pond. I know your kids always have supervision now, but they will be more independent in the future and a pond concerns me. When my kids were small, we lived for a time at my parents' house who had a pond and a pool. We had to be so careful to always have the doors bolted and door alarms. When we moved out, I wouldn't even consider a house with a pool after having to be so careful. It was a constant worry. And with such a large property, it could take time to locate the kids when they're out playing; it just has me concerned. Love to you all!

I’ve watched Laura plant Spring bulbs for several years now and she always uses Biotone in the holes, so last Fall I used Biotone for the very first time. Never have before and my tulips always came up looking happy & perky in the Spring. This year the new tulips and daffodils I planted last Fall were pretty much eaten up by squirrels. Apparently they LOVE Biotone - lesson learned. :)

Your Autumn colours are looking so beautiful, but your Spring is going to be breathtaking. It’s so hard to really get a true understanding of the size of those boxwood pots until we see you standing right next to them Laura, I don’t know why I imagined them smaller, but they are huge! … and yes, the sky was beautiful - Aaron didn’t even need to photoshop it in 😂
