@luvthatapex What do you mean you'll release new code new week? Are you involved with American Pinball? Nevermind: I figured out who you are. :) It would be awesome to have some sort of watchdog on those sensors. When the sensor was in fail mode, the coil would just fire non stop until the coil ate it's own head. What's weird is the sensor would always test fine. Even at a time when it would fail during game play, if you went right into switch test, it would always pass. So I'm not sure what was causing it to fail. But if there was a watchdog that just looked to verify activity on the other sensors, I could see that saving coils (and in my case a transistor on the board) if you have a sensor failure. I'm not sure what the logic would be, but in no instance is there a case where only one sensor would trigger without the others seeing something as well. My issue was definitely an opto failure though. It's been running now for a few days, seen a few hundred plays always, and it's acting normal.

Nothing looks bent or out of place. It's almost like the cabinet is about 5mm wider than it should be. I think the solution is to install something like a few washers between the rails and the cabinet. If I put some on each side, that should bring the rails out just enough so they don't slip off. I'm not sure though. I'm going to need to pull the entire playfield and inspect it.

That actually is a thing on pinside. If I remember, @luvthatapex from AP replied and said they had a fix?? I'm going off memory here - sorry.

I did a little digging around and I did find a few more people who have this same cabinet and rail problem. I've contacted American Pinball and we're discussing it. Looks like I'll be making another video about Valhalla in the near future.

@@SevensPinballorama Hope you get this message. I was cleaning Legends last night and had the playfield up. I took a look at the rails. On both sides of the machine they are not flush mounted to the cabinet. There is a spacer on mine and they have about 4 to 5mm out from the cabinet. I noticed in the video seemed yours where flush mounted. This may have been a early issue they fixed. I can take a photo and send it to you. I wish I could tell you when mine was made. I noticed that was not written on the back. Research suggests it was made in August or Sept of 22.

@cellprocessing6832 Yes, mine are flush mounted. Date of manufacture printed on the backbox of mine is May 2022. I don't know if this is true, but I saw a comment somewhere that said American Pinball changed cabinet makers during production of Valhalla. Perhaps this is the reason? Cabinets out of spec? I'm not even sure if this comment is true, but my cabinets dimensions are all over the place. I've spoken to American Pinball and they are sending me a new rail system to install. If the new rail system is still a little tight, I'll install some shims under the rails to give me more room. Of course I'll make a video on this and some other stuff I've discovered looking into this issue..
