Following a cleanup of the automatic gearbox sump I ran the engine for a while and spotted fresh fluid seeping from the housing.
This is a common fault with these engines that can lead to the fluid wicking to the transmission control unit where it will cause irreparable damage.
Best change it sooner rather than later.
Ensure your car is suitably supported before attempting working under it, and that you are competent to do the work.
