Finally, with the adoption of an Islamic name, its not an Islamic rule but something that have been practiced for a long time and has been accepted as a norm. Secondly, there was someone who was named after one of the numerous deities worshipped in Mecca. On the person's acceptance of Islam, the Prophet told the person to change his name to Abdu Rahman. However, I think Africans should stick to their African names rather than adopting Arabic names which sometimes have very funny and sometimes dangerous meanings. So I think Maame Grace, kindly change the GRace in your name and tell Alii Ciessey to remove the ALI in his name because they are non African lol

The Mallam swerved the question cos Quran 9vs 28 describes those who are non believers of Islamic faith who happens to be unclean in the eyes of Allah. So verses 29 to 30 is a follow up of how they (non - believers) should be treated and handled if the need comes . And I think Islam used those verses as tools to dominate the masses during the raiding era of religions. Religious apologists defend their religion no matter the dark side of the faith. Black people should reason up enough to unlearn the tricks of religion and be themselves in unity as Black people instead of upholding to religious perversions that keep us (Africans) in bondage. @@invisibleman979 anthropology, archaeology, and various scholars have already proved the origin of the word Ameen or Amen. The origin is ancient Egypt and has nothing to do Islam. Perhaps Mohammed went around copying pages upon pages of other religious manuscripts and a creating a divergence.
