RDv2 is a very good plane. You'll enjoy this one. I've been flying one for a while now and it's the perfect all rounder. There's only two things you need to know about this plane - 1. It needs a lot of nose weight for balance, cameras + a big battery like a 4S 5200. 2. Check those motor mounts. They are just held on with a small amount of glue. Might be best to pull them off and glue yourself so you know its done properly.

I love my Dragon II, had it for a couple of years now. Great FVP plane, I do have a pan tilt cam on top. I’m gonna be interested to see if you change up the motors.

Looks a lot like the Titan Dynamics Tornado but slightly bigger and in foam.

My favorite plane. I fly mine mostly LOS. It's fast and quiet plus excellent flight times.

Another handy feature is the flat turtledeck. The top of the tail cone is where I love to place units like trackers and vtx gear to counterbalance bigger batteries and better cameras in the nose, but I usually have to flatten the top to install equipment there.

Oh boy your gonna like this model, i have the Dragon V1 plank,had it since they came out, it flies just sweet, has 1772kv motors with 6" triblades and hits about 140KPH, but will cruise about real slow

Hey, I just bought the same plane! It was on sale for €130 for the PNP model. I hope the servos are somewhat decent. I've slapped a 4s2p 10000mAh Li-Ion pack in there, as well as a GoPro 7 and a Caddx Vista. Haven't flown it yet. Very curious about your impression after the maiden.

Its a great plane. A little bit under the radar but no one needs a Cruza or so if you have a RD2🥳 I use not your pan/tilt but another one. This way I can look straight down. Are you interested, I could put it on Thingi? The nacells are to be glued !!!!! The outer parts are removable. You can also mod the inner pieces to have flaps 🙂

This was my very first fpv model and it flies really well, feels as locked in as the dolphin. The stock setup was way overpropped for 1800kv on 4s though, was drawing around 100A at full throttle and cruising at 12A. I’m guessing they did that to list it as 2s compatible. You will want to replace the stock 7045 triblades with 7040 bi blades, that makes it fly really nice and efficient while still having incredibly easy takeoff. Sadly I lost mine in the austrian alps, if it weren’t so expensive (compared to the Dolphin for example) I would have bought another one for sure.

Thanks for the tips, I'm planning on a maiden with the stock setup to see how it works... Happy flying

@@Painless360 Fair enough, best to see for yourself anyway. The extra power certainly doesn’t hurt and I suspect my FC was reading a bit high, it was probably more like 80A max. Have fun flying and thanks for all the incredibly helpful videos you put out :)

One of my big complaints with my Reptile Dragon 2 is that it is a very slow plane relative to my Zohd Talon GT Rebel, my old Reptile Dragon Talon, and Zohd Altus…
@dronepilot260rc
@dronepilot260rc Ай бұрын
It’s all about how you build it. Your motor/prop will determine how fast or slow it is
@IanF-FPV
@IanF-FPV Ай бұрын
@@dronepilot260rc For sure. I guess I should say with my setup and the overall aerodynamics of this plane it’s not as efficient as my other builds. I’m currently using 2212 x1400kv black SunnySky motors with APC 8x6 props. At cruise throttle set to 40-45% I using about 11-12amps and but speed is on avg 20-30% slower than my Zohd Talon GT for example. I attributed this with the aspect ratio of the wings. Too wide and thick.
@dronepilot260rc
@dronepilot260rc Ай бұрын
@@IanF-FPV the Talon is a single motor. You could probably get by with 7” or even 6” props. I was running 6042 props when I had 1400kv motors on
@dronepilot260rc
@dronepilot260rc Ай бұрын
I was just thinking about getting mine back out. I went with 2216 1100kv Sunnysky motors . Runs really good on 4s but will get by on 3s. I went with the inverted T tail instead of using the v tail Edit: I also used 2 servos for the elevator which is overkill but looks good haha 😂

Bonito modelo.

Hi Lee, I own two Reptile Dragon 2. One with Dji setup and the other with 1.3Ghz with two camera setup. Checkout the videos on my channel. Two camera setup is highly customized with my own 3D designed nose cone and landing gear to avoid hitting the props. Let me know if you want the files.
