Hi Steve, Thank you my friend for your latest generous donation. Not sure if I'm so creative - more like a guy that always looks for the most straightforward way... But as you know, I'll keep doing my thing thanks in large part to guys like you. Glen 😬

I got a couple minutes in a see no guard on the angle grinder. That’s an accident waiting to happen. I sure don’t want you to get seriously hurt my friend. Your videos, as always are top notch

I concur with this caveat his touch is light, he does not push the tool but let's it find its depth so I am less concerned.

So I had a guard on mine and it blew up and hit me in the chest and a piece hit my dog and stuck in the wall so what’s the difference?
@CothranMike
@CothranMike 3 ай бұрын
@@richardbryant7972 again, it is all in the touch I think. Guards do not think, we do, guards do not protect, we do. A guard is not required is NOT what I am saying, I am saying pushing and prodding can be the problem and there is not much that can protect you from stupidity but experience, not much that can prevent "accidents" but wisdom. Be wise, stay safe, take care, have a heart.

I always use stainless cutting disks , theyre much more accurate and don't waste as much steel either,,,the little bit of flex in them means I don't press too hard so they last overall longer than the thicker ones for mild steel I have a piece of 20x100x300 silver steel that has been hanging about for years waiting for me to decide what to do with it, a plate like this will be ideal. Its got heavy stick welds on one side that will flatten out nicely but always made it useless for anything else...I just need a pair of tongs big enough to pick the darn thing up lol ....
@gstongs
@gstongs 3 ай бұрын
Yes, these discs are just really good - last longer for sure. Good luck with your work and all.

Glen..you will not be able to play for the Yankees with a missing finger. Take the guard cut it into a quarter of its size. Then place it on the bottom of the grinder. If your hand slips it will stop your finger from being cut off. Instead of a spark guard it becomes a finger guard. I can send pictures if you need…..don’t stink up the Jernt with finger stitches…..Yanks doing good in the east…maybe this year WS…..Steve

As I said to someone else, bad habits die hard with me. Yanks are definitely not stinking up the jernt. Time will tell... Thanks Steve.

Gloves should not be worn when operating any rotating tool, as they may get caught and cause an accident.
