so is the dependant variable the rate of photosynthesis or the number of bubbles produced? GREAT VIDEO BTW!!!

Dependent variable is a variable that is affected by the independent variable and could be measured. Rate of photosynthesis isn't measured, rather calculated, thus, it would be more correct to state that number of bubbles / volume of gas produced as the dependent variable.
