After sunset on January 26, 2021, rescue crews responded to the area of the Miller Park Marina for reports of a missing jet skier who had gone missing on the Sacramento River near Downtown Sacramento. Weather conditions consisted of heavy winds and rain, and crews were initially unable to launch boats due to sediment on the boat ramp and extreme winds. One rescue boat is seen in this video twice, as they received orders to attempt launch from a different location. One boat eventually located the jet ski, after it had washed ashore on the opposite riverbank. The occupants were successfully rescued and evaluated by paramedics for cold-related illness.
