USA fire departments need a swift kick in the butt! 1. You do NOT bring a ladder to a residential fire unless it is a high-rise apartment fire. 2. You DO bring an Engine with 1000 gallons of onboard water, a Deck Gun and two Booster Lines on reels. 3. You can clearly see where the flames are and what is being threatened by them. 4. You line the Deck Gun up, so it has a Line of Sight on the burning material and the exposures. 5. You activate the pump and start applying water within the first minute of arrival, fogging the area between the houses and then concentrate on the main fire location. 6. One Booster line then takes over to continue fogging the exposure while 1-3/4" lines are pulled to surgically extinguish the remaining burning material. 1:50 Perfect access to a burning room through the window and the clown is taking time to get the door open. Go back to the beginning. That room wasn't even close to burning when they had already been there awhile. A little well-placed water would have gone a long way to prevent that. 3:00 Look at that fire burn and threaten the main house and exposure. Those idiots are worried about venting the roof while they allow that fire to envelop the entire structure? No wonder three houses burned. What would they have done if these were big houses? 3:50 I, zombie!
