It's 2022 get some actual farrier equipment like nippers and proper knives and files. this chisel/knife is having to crush the hooves which is cracking them and using gardening shears to mangle the hoof wall shows the poor quality and archaic. Use the proper tools and you'll get good outcomes. You're using your chisel when they are standing and destroying the weight bearing outer horn which is just gonna increase the chance of bruising.

So many men around with cameras & no one to help steady the donkeys! Someone should help control the kicking and jumping around. Maybe even a little 'encouragement' near the handle of the knife with a small hammer to push the bigger knife through the larger hooves.

This is why professional farriers do this so you don't mame the horse.

Gosh - he had to work hard on that tough hoof. Makes you wonder if a grinder would work with those cases. Surely there must be an electrical outlet nearby. Or hoof nippers that horse farriers use. But I guess he got there in the end and the poor donkey was able to walk better.

Я не знаю но мне кажется что тот человек который держит этих ослов ,должен сам уметь обрезать копыта или держать у себя токого человека т.к. каждый 2 ой месяц надо бы им ровнять копыта. Я не вижу что это сложно. А как они у лошодей делают мне не нравится.

Poor donkeys! They need a farrier as their hooves are so bad, but they have feelings! You should be gentle and reassuring not shout and pull at them like that. That was awfully upsetting to watch, these donkeys are not used to foot treatment therefore have them sedated so this ordeal is not so traumatic. That donkey was still walking with pain afterwards. If you can't be empathatic then don't work with animals. Lots of farriers on here, this is the worst with the worst attitude towards the donkey......he won't want to get that done again and I don't bkame him. Lots of donkeys crying nd horses in the background what is going on there?

You are doing a very useful job but for god's sake, use a stool as a support under the hoof when trimming them, especially when nailing. You are tearing up the donkeys' tendons. When those ligaments are damaged the hooves then grow backward. You put those donkeys in excruciating pain needlessly by damaging their joints.
