@Nea van R. Haha All good :D! Yeah, I have been working with deers here in the rescue for many years, and I just know you need to keep out of the way, to not get a nasty wound from antlers on a deer, when they are stressed like in this situation!

Idk why you say they know people are there to help. Seems like most are incapable of understanding that and nothing about this deer's behavior indicated it knew what was happening at all. In fact, it struggled against them and ran off asap. I also don't know why it matters. Just like a child doesn't know their parent is helping them, many animals don't know when we're helping them.
