Recipe: Mochi Cake [YT: CARA MEMBUAT KUE MOCHI YANG LEMBUT DAN UWEENAKK!!]
Ingredients:
500gr of Glutinous Rice Flour.
Sesame seed.
Fried Nuts.
50ml of cooking oil.
Lime water (Limestone).
Sugar.
Salt.
Coconut Milk. (With pandan leafs).
Steps:
Sautee the sesame seed, use small flames. Wait until dry and brown colored.
Then take out the sesame seed from the pan.
Now put in the Glutinous rice flour then stir it for the moment in the hot pan.
Take out the flour then put it into the plate / bowl.
Then grind the nut using blender into chunky bits. Then add ½ teaspoon of salt then stir it until well mixed. Then add 3 tablespoon of sugar into the bowl.
Add in sesame seed into the nut bowl.
Mix the sesame with the nut.
Then heat up your stoves, put the pan or boiling pot with coconut milk inside of it.
Wait until the coconut milk is getting boiled, then turn off the stoves.
Now prepare the Glutinous Rice Flour in the bowl, add ½ teaspoon of salt, and the coconut milk.
Stir the ingredients until well blended, if the coconut milk is not enough add another 200ml, then add in the Lime Water (Limestone) around ½ tablespoon.
Knead the ingredients until became dough.
When you done making the dough, coat up the plate with some oil, then place the dough to the plate.
Heat up the stoves, then put the steamers with some water inside. Wait until the water in the steamers boiling, then put in the dough.
Cover the steamers for around 15 minutes.
While waiting, mix the grinded nuts with 4 tablespoon of water, then stir it.
Now open up the steamers, if the dough hasn’t set then wait for another 15 minutes.
After another 15 minute passed, take out the dough from the steamers.
Begin cutting or molding the Mochi dough, then fill it with the grinded nut (or any fillings that you like), Then mold it (the fillings will not get out of the dough).
Then coat the filled mochi dough with glutinous rice flour. Then place it to the plate (or if you like you can coat the dough with the grinded nuts and sesame seed instead of the rice flour).
Repeat the last two steps until all of the dough and the fillings is all used up. The Mochi is ready to be served. Enjoy.
