Many archers, hunters, recreational and target shooters are learning just how easy it is to tune the new 2020 Elite KURE and ReZult model bows using SET technology. With so much adjustment at your fingertips, occasionally, you just want to start over and reSET your adjustments. This is a very easy task to accomplish as you will see in the video.

Thanks, for showing me how to tune it back to Brand New. I've owned my Elite KURE since the 2020 Pandemic. Accuracy is very real with the Bow and distance isn't a problem anymore. I've Robinhooded an arrow at 70 yards. I heard the Carbon Fiber Crack like an egg. I felt paint for that Arrow. Very fine bow.

Did you get your bow? If so how long did it take? I just ordered one online yesterday and am wondering how long of a wait to anticipate, website said typically fifteen days or sooner. Gotta get it before bow season starts next month and sell my VXR 31.5

@@drewanderson502 yup, i got mine, took about 3 or 4 weeks.. i ordered through my bow shop though. I dont think 15 days is accurate to be honest. I got to the point where i wanted to cancel my order and just drive to lancaster. they had the one i wanted in house.

I had a Bowtech Revolt that I just sold n hot this Elite Kure. I definitely like the Kure more then the Bowtech. But, one thing I do wish u guys had that both of u don’t. N kinda surprised honestly that no one has thought pf this yet, but how come u guy’s don’t put hash marks on the S.E.T adjustment screw so we know exactly how much we turn each screw. Then we can match them exactly perfect on the top as well as the bottom??? Anyway; just a suggestion that I think would b a sweet n helpful add on to an already awesome shooting bow. Thanks for ur time in this matter.

Totally understand and it’s been suggested plenty, even by myself! However, I have a suggestion for you and possibly a little bit of insight as to why they won’t do it that way. Suggestion goes like this. On the drive screw that adjusts SET, make an index mark on the head of the screw with a sharpie. Also make an index mark on the riser that matches the location where you put the mark on the SET screw. This will give you a visual on how far you are turning SET in a clock-hand sort of way. Also, keep in mind that when fine tuning w SET it is not detrimental that you adjust both top and bottom equally. For instance, if you get a bullet hole through paper and then you begin bare shaft tuning at 20, if you find your bare shaft is only a few inches off to the left or right of the fletched arrow then you may only need to move SET on top or bottom 1/8 turn to make it perfect. So if you had marks on the screws that were equal before now they would be uneven. Again, it’s not a real issue because technically SET could be off a long ways from being equal and the bow still works just fine. But for someone that is a bit OCD and a stickler for keeping things uniform I could see where that could be an issue. Most shade tree bow mechanics will want to keep everything equal, and I suppose that is good, just remember that it doesn’t have to be exactly equal for it to work out best for you. I hope that makes sense…. Sometimes it’s hard for me to explain what I know in my head lol!

@@nathanbrooks4324 Thanks for that insight 100%. Had a quick question if I may. So; I am tryin to set my bow up from the beginning, ok. My center shot would pretty much line up with that line that goes down the riser, right? After that I set my nocking point. Once that is set n I look down the arrow n match it up with string, riser, and even my stabilizer, kk. Then go n shoot. I meed to make a correction cause I am getting a left tear. So, after make the necessary changes I look down n my arrow looks like it points kinda crooked, but yet it shoots straight. Is it ok. Or should everything line up???

@@dylanrodriguez2520 that’s absolutely fine. When you adjust SET it makes the limb pocket pivot from side to side which effects the horizontal alignment of the bow. So that is normal.

For resetting SET technology on newer Elite bows, do you know if there is still about 1 turn in either direction from "center". My new omnia seems to have more than that.
@nathanbrooks4324

The best way to know if you are centered, regardless of which version of SET you have, is to adjust SET as far to one side as possible. Then adjust all the way back across to the other side, keeping count of your turns. Then just adjust halfway back.

I like to take a piece of dental floss in line with the limb bolts and tape it down. Then, I’ll line that up with the center of the bow and get my rest in line with the dental floss and center of the riser. It won’t be in line with the string because the string isn’t in the middle.

They should get rid of both set & lock button head screws and go strictly to standard Allen head. I know many have stripped the head out as the wrench slips out of the button head more easily than the standard head. Just a recommendation

I would think it would continue to tear instead of punching bullet holes whenever you adjust the center shot
@nathanbrooks4324
@nathanbrooks4324 4 жыл бұрын
Not sure I understand your comment... but I’ll try and shed some more light. When a bow is not shooting bullet holes, adjustments need to be made to make it tune better. When you adjust SET, it makes the cam lean in the direction needed to correct your tear. That alignment adjustment can slightly counteract where the centershot is located. Therefore a “slight” adjustment needs to be made to the centershot to realign it to its previous measurement. Does that help?

I just bought a Kure. Have you heard of any defects in the SET adjustment hardware? Mine only had 1 full turn from extreme left to right Top and bottom of the riser. My top adjustment actually slipped position in the riser. I'm wondering if this is typical of the SET hardware.
@nathanbrooks4324
@nathanbrooks4324 3 жыл бұрын
Did you buy it new? Or used? I’ve had several people tell me they’ve stripped out there screws but I’ve not heard of any issues from the factory. If you only have one turn of total adjustment something is amiss. I would suggest taking it to your local dealer and have them do a breakdown and see what is happening.

I bought it new. It didn't come with a factory allen Allen wrench. I tried 4 different brands and none fit snugly in the hardware. All ready got replacement lock screws from elite. The pro shop I bought it from isn't overly familiar with the SET technology either. Definitely an issue there.

TINE COLLECTOR you stripped the drive screw that adjusts SET from side to side or the locking screw that secures it?

@@nathanbrooks4324 I stripped the drive screw,and we used a drimmel tool so we could get a flathead in the screw but it will not move left or right at all
@nathanbrooks4324

TINE COLLECTOR it is easy to fix. The nut on the opposite side of the riser has a Allen head set screw that secures the nut to the bolt. Loosen the set screw in the nut and unscrew the nut off the bolt. Then you can easily remove the bolt. You can either call TOG for a replacement bolt or possibly go to your local hardware store and find a replacement. When you get the replacement bolt add the washer to the bolt and thread through the riser. Once it’s snug add the washer to the opposite side of the riser and screw the nut on and make it very snug, then back off about 1/8 turn and tighten the Allen screw that secures the nut to the bolt. I hope this helps.
