They would defintiely have to do it right. I think that it should still be more or less under wraps from governments across the world. An apocalypse, but not a wasteland or anything.

@@sherif956 I still think it's possible. I'm not talking about an apocalypse that lasts for a very long time, at most two years. Government would still be a thing. I don't think a Walking Dead type of story would fit RE well.

The movie got one right though, a plague that devastates entire human civilization is one that ruins entire biosphere. Other zombie franchise has far more anvil on "Humans gone and nature is healing".... in the middle of zombie apocalypse! However, remember that Game timeline is not tied to the movie, but instead the CGI cartoons. All these CGI cartoons are canon and act as official filler between the games.

I wish there would of been a new mainstay villian after Wesker. They had their chance with Alex but never did anything with it. I hope that when we eventually have the entire series remade (and I am sure we will), we will have a better narrative and villian set up. I already know that the RE9 villian will be toast at the end of the game lol.

The longest villain is Wesker who is the only one main villain throughout the franchise that remain until 5, they couldn't prolong the investment of building somewhere he'll do the most heighten pre-apocalyptic scheme when in 5 it's already consider highest pre-apocalyptic launching Uroboros. His meant for Chris, and they bound to meet and settle their score. There isn't another antagonist like Wesker. And another in RE9 will probably get some answers to what's happening inside the BSAA for using humanoid BOW's in RE8. If 10 is going to be apocalyptic, stopping villain diabolical scheme, returning of a surviving villain, or maybe building to something huge since the remaking of the franchise. Either RE9 catalyst for 10, or different story continuing the franchise.

I'll have to check them out. I don't think they will be worn down and lose, but I could see them giving it their all and then passing the torch to those they aid. Thanks for the support man!

@@RacoonCityPizza No worries buddy. But as for the mental breakdown, it has to hit the characters at some point. Not as severely as Claire in the original timeline, but the RE characters cannot be mentally invinsible. That's why Jill was written better than other protagonists in Death Island... they showed this mental trauma side of her and how it changed her. And as for Claire in Death Island, her trauma is something that once again... only I saw (for some strange reason) but the fan reaction to CVX originally, coupled with the fact that the newer fans want CVX remade without understanding what CVX was actually all about, and supplemented by Capcom's horrible execution of CVX, leads me to believe that Claire's mental trauma will never be explored, and that focus will go to Jill. I just hope Capcom doesn't fumble the ball this time.
