The fact that this wasn't in REmake 2 by default without having to purchase a cut version of the OG OST as DLC unless you pre ordered which doesn't even include Ada's piano theme is in of itself a Travesty

@@JonRob the new soundtrack definitely fits the new style of game the remake offers. There's some really good stuff in there (G3 is probably my favourite). Overall though, I prefer the original soundtrack.

Beautiful! I wish this was in the remake instead of the soundtrack we got. Luckily I got the Deluxe Edition and swapped to the original soundtrack before reaching Birkin. Thanks for creating this, it's awesome!

​@@JonRob Yes, they tried to reserve as much they could the dark essence, and isn't that bad in my opinion. Just sad isn't that melodic. But it's not like they did forget about William's memorable leitmotif, you can barely hear it as you advance and confront him.

Thank for that amazing feedback Dean. To be honest, at that time, I was not as experienced as I am now concerning orchestration. Plus, it's low definition and I've over compressed the mix, which result in having way less dynamic. I've sticked to the original Wood Wind parts, which include only English horns, and added new parts with the same instruments. Not that much risks haha

@@JonRob I appreciate your kind honesty. I mean, it's still very good with what came out. compression is literally the limitation of what you got so there really is no judgement to how compressed it sounds. I would still consider this the most faithful and most realistic depiction of the original song.

As soon as I've finished the Birkin serie, I plan of creating kind of a unique piece that's gonna be a sort of medley of all the malformation tracks ! Will be better quality and longer duration ! But if you want it as a loop or something, I probably can do that quickly ! Liked it ?

@@JonRob Manieres, ça meritai meilleur crédit quoiqu'il arrive que la version originale du remake qui mise à part, une ou deux versions qui accrochent un peu à l'oreille, est non seulement aucunement dans la lignée, ni dans le thème, à part 2, 3 notes (lol), mais aussi... Que je trouve assez dégueulasse. J'ai été extrêmement déçu d'ailleurs en y jouant la première fois que des la deuxième partie et pour les suivantes, j'ai rempile pour L'OST ORIGINALE qui me fout dans une immersion bien plus totale. J'irai écouter les autres ce soir. Bonne journée également :)

J'imagine qu'ils ont fait du +moderne pour les nouveaux joueurs mais c'est dommage car les themes d'origine ont une couleur de dingue, et ca apporte tellement a l univers de la saga... Au plaisir !

Moi sur le moment j'étais confuse, en écoutant sa bande-son, j'avais cru que c'étais Capcom qui l'avais composer, tellement qu'elle de la classe, et que c'était une musique officiel qu'on pourrais choisir dans le jeu, mais en fait non c'est fait par un fan, bravo.

@@JonRob the video game awards were last night and usually what they do is they have a special live orchestra throughout the awards show. Anyway last night they had this cool amalgam/mix-up of either the theme song or a very popular song from the track / score of all of the games that are nominated for game of the year. They turn it all into one song that's all blended together so that one song leads into another but it's done by a live orchestra. Anyway they did it and all of the other games got their song done properly except for resident evil and instead of choosing something awesome like this track right here which they should have because it was one of the musical tracks from the score that was played most during the game. Instead they end up doing some kind of remix version of the song Leon is listening to in his car at the beginning of the game which was so stupid because it was such a forgettable song. Plus the way they did it was so horrible and cringy. it was just another Injustice added to the long line of Injustice has done to resident evil last night. they were snubbed so badly. A lot of people thought death stranding was going to clean up at the awards and were complaining about it in advance because people thought it didn't deserve anything but the awards that it one I feel like it absolutely deserved. but resident evil didn't win any and it definitely deserved three of the awards it was nominated for. Best action-adventure, best audio design and game of the year. It should have won best audio design hands down regardless. But also it should have one either a game of the year or best action adventure, one or the other but it didn't win any and it was absolutely ridiculous and obvious that they got snubbed. I know a lot of people are going to be mad and you're going to see a lot of KZfaq videos pop up about it and articles written about. Sorry I know that was super long 😂😂😂 but I am freaking pissed!!!

Very informative Kai ! Thank you so much for explaining me this. Even if the soundtrack of the Re2R isnt memorable, I still think it was amazingly well produced, and was just misunderstood since it was very subtle while playing the game. I don't know why they didn't do something with Ueda's work, honestly they could have done something amazing with an orchestra... Just look at what they did for Monster Hunter... They can do it, but they've chosen another art direction... Putting the Leon's car music for that kind of event is ... weird XD it's like they knew they didnt win anything and didnt want to spend time on this ?

I mean the track for the second Malformation of G/Birkin was AMAZING but it's like whoever chose the tracks completely glossed over the good ones and chose that song Leon had on the radio and then they got some random guy to do the vocals 🤣🤣🤣 sooo cringy. They completely missed the mark with that end with a lot of this year's show. I seriously can't believe how badly they snubbed the resident evil 2
