There is one weakness though, the black levels and contrast ratio. Modern HDR games like this set in the darkness, it’s just a grey-ish black void and hard to make out some details. Other than that it’s still gorgeous.

​@mikeg2491 I like to think of these TVs as muscle cars, high performance but they used more electricity and they were big and bulky. At the time the LCD technology was a downgrade from CRTs and the only real benefit was electricity usage

well booth technologies have their strenghts and weaknesses... good ips / oled with red dead redemption 2 or any other nice graphics game at 4k will look really dope too but older games where made with the old display technology in mind...

Totally agree on the camera, especially w these bigger sets. Easy harder to capture the image. I calibrated the hell out of that Wega & it was gorgeous 😍

I definitely prefer CRT image to an LCD. Image is more natural & better motion clarity

@@pemuda7075 Plus CRT has incredible image depth, almost creates a natural 3D effect, as well as the almost infinite contrast CRT has, perfect natural blacks that retain detail in the darkest scenes. Then there's the zero response times, which makes for a really enjoyable satisfying gaming experience, instant feedback in FPS games for example, CRT can't be beat for gaming on.

These are known to have geometry issues; mine is not perfect either. Think this can be mitigated via service menu but I ended up not doing that since I did not want to screw anything else up. You'll need a remote but can Google how to access the service menu. From there though would definitely recommend doing research before changing any settings.
