One of the main criticisms of the original RE3 was that its short. In this reimagination, They made it shorter. I don’t have a problem with them reimagined the game as long as they maintain main elements of the game (e.g. clock tower, park, and grave digger). If they only kept those, along with making raccoon city more playable/accessible, this would’ve been perfect.

I love this game. I get why fans were dissapointed. Personally it was my introduction to the series, and it will always be special to me.

Its a shame, that you have so little views. I watch a lot of videos on youtube and yours are one of the better ones. Your scripts are good, you can write, you are a good speaker and obviously a good cutter.

You turning a blind eye to the many problems with this game is an example of fans not voicing enough criticism and thus allowing CAPCOM to get away with bad decisions.

I love so much re3 remake, i know it have a lot of cut content but come on! the plot, characters and story are much much better and pull well in this new version.

I’m sorry too I love the reviews but I just gotta say, I sharply disagree (no pun intended). This changed three features of the original third game that’s not a huge issue to me if you let it go you’ll realize aside being able to choose what path you take at RPD, Diner, The Garage (which leads to another with the big ass Tremors-like Worm) and the Clocktower and whatever else might have been there (honestly I think it was the cemetery and the house therein) none of that makes it better because in long term thinking it’s like expecting Romero from Snyder, One is hugely interesting and the other while a downgrade is not as light on horror elements as some think... Neither are the same work of fiction but they are given the same title for the most part, was Nemesis being a downgraded Mr X vs Nemesis being an upgraded Mr X in the OG but if you want to get technical it has always been a scripted mess RE3: Nemesis is a 10 to me RE3make was essentially never going to be that but to me you have to sort of remove the way you view it from the whole persuasion, but I won’t at any point remove how I see both being great from mine. Because it would be dumb to call REmake 2 a Perfect Game and RE3make an awful game RE3 should be a 9.5 and about the same height in the reviews all around to me because I grew up when RE3: Nemesis came out and there was a very similar level of fan derision from that so... The choice removal did not make RE3make worse because RE3make was never bad to begin with. RE3make was only bad from a certain POV but was it actually bad? No! RE3: Nemesis wasn’t bad either and RE3: Nemesis was still hugely scripted the choices inevitably were just there to cover the fact that if you chose wrong the game would be too short and if you chose right it was still short but ultimately there was still only one scenario versus the incorrect two you listed for 2 where there was actually in a very obvious way four, you forgot to bring up Mr X being in Resident Evil 2 in your original review because he isn’t in it till Scenario three and again in scenario four I call it four scenarios because they both got an A & B but we don’t bring this up, why? I don’t know this reveals a bit of a flaw in your reviews but I mean why not just do a bit better it should not be this hard for everyone to see RE3make was just doubling down on the REmake 2’s removal of certain aspects it’s no different than 2 it’s still about the same quality and honestly the creatures are just as horrifying which is to me still better than the OG not actually being scary because I would have shit myself when I was 8 but I am 30 now I am not even quivering so to me it’s not scary it’s just meh even if it’s got a more pure atmosphere neither of the two remakes are all that lessened by being short they’re still horrifying they are games that I don’t see lessening in the fear factor whereas Old School RE2 was hugely fun and friggin’ amazing with good atmosphere they only slightly lessen that the REmake 2 and add jump scares and dread (to me dread is not atmosphere the music the feeling that you aren’t gonna make it and the noises make that it is dread but It’s a leg up on that word) but there is actually a very interesting upscale from the OG RE3 in that area because RE3make is still to me on a fear scale better and more reasonably frightening even with slightly more emphasis on scripted moments.

You Fake Fan Resident Evil

Huge disappointment. Remakes are fine and can become amazing games in their own right whether it’s the RE1 Renake which was incredibly faithful to the OG title or whether it’s RE2 Remake which took some liberties but kept enough of the original to please the fans. RE3 Remake is just not a remake. It stays too far from the original in a way that disappointed the fans which would be fine if it wasn’t called a “Remake” and if the game was actually amazing, but the game was not amazing. It was not a hit like RE2 Remake was because it was a step backwards in so many ways. The game’s difficulty was either too easy or just borderline unplayable. There is absolutely no incentive to replay the game nor any sense or accomplishment to do so. There were, inexplicably, only three costume options. The game was missing some features like limb dismemberment for some reason where limbs would just disappear. There were graphical issues and camera issues in some parts of the game. It was just not as polished nor did it have as much content as RE2 Remake.
