The way the graphics presets and resolutions were handled in this port is soooo much better than previous AAA iPhone games. 720p w/ upscaling, like most AAA games have done on iPhone, looks ugly on almost any external display. Giving us the option to change it while still having somewhat optimized presets is awesome

the M1 pro and M4 pro have a 120hz display and 40 is evenly divisible by 120 allowing them to support a framerate cap of 40 while still outputting 120hz the iPad air is only 60hz and 40 is not evenly divisible by 40 so a 40fps framerate cap would introduce judder and be inconsistent so they use a 30 fps cap which is evenly divisible by 60. this is why some games have a 40 fps mode on the Xbox series X and PS5 since they support 120hz and can only be used if you have a 120hz TV

Playing on an IPad Pro M4 16GB max resolution I get consistently 60FPS on performance and looks really good. Being able to play this portably makes me so happy. Wish they used the same graphics options from Resident Evil Village, being able to customize it exactly how you want without going into the config file was much nicer.

Thank you MrMcRight, best as always ❤️ This release was pure disapointment for me. When I saw only 3 graphics presets my first thoughts were like “okay tweaking config will fix this”. But devs made an awful movement - they’ve linked ini settings to presets so you cannot tweak anything anymore. Actually you can change something inside ini-file but it doesn’t affect the game. It could be a pleasure to play Performance mode 900p on iphone, but trilinear texture filtering instead of at least anisotropic x4 ruins the experience. Okay, you can get anisotropic x4 on Balanced mode, but it’s 30 fps cap. Still I’m playing this great game on iPad M4 13” Balanced mode and 1440p - it’s nearly great, but it could be better.

I was so amazed of how it runs on my MacBook Air M1, a laptop without fan from 2020, it runs like butter, so SMOOTH, thanks apple.

Nice video - I've been impressed with my iPad Pro M4 11inch, same as what you tested. Spoiler alert, on the Mac Pro M1 Max (32/32) it's flawless on max settings at 1200p or even higher with resolution scaling of 1 and no MetalFX. More powerful Macs will obviously do even better. The only thing I noticed is some pretty bad shadow glitching on Mia's hair when you first see her lying down in the cell, but it goes away when she's standing. I don't remember that in the PS4 or PC version of this game.

You’re gonna be disappointed if you give it that high expectation. me personally I’m just grateful that a game like this can be played on iPhone regardless of how it looks. It looks awful, the graphics are terribly blurry, out of focus, and the quality of the details is surprisingly low. I know it's just a phone, but I wouldn't want to play like this. It's better to run it on a handheld, like a Steam Deck. In its current form, it's more for masochists.

Yeah res 7 looks awful on my m2 ipad pro, it's shocking how blurry it is. I have it on the highest res but makes no difference. I Must be going mad but all the other ports look way better! I might tinker with settings later as this video looks way better then what mine looked like on a m2 ipad pro 16gb
