@@thuankhiet_ The issue is that it is bad writing, a Clean Room or a BSL-4, is isolated, air is pumped into suits from the outside; this is standard procedure in almost any area that is working with biological agents like viruses, bacteria, diseases, etc. You'd expect the same precautions to be used in a biological weapons research facility, especially in the place they're storing it or doing any kind of active research with it that way in the event of a breakage *in the Clean Room* of all places, you don't end up having to kill your very talented and trusted staff who are realistically supposed to be *VERY* valuable to the people they're working for. It does what it needs to for the sake of the movie, but even Contagion, an older movie, understood how Clean Rooms and BSL-4's worked. And even then, getting into the fictional side of things, you'd figure that the one place an *Artificial Intelligence* is watching, an AI which is programmed and designed specifically to contain and monitor this thing, doesn't even see the vial get thrown, which any AI worth its salt would immediately notice because that's how infrared and scanner technology works. Even our not-AI detection systems pick up stuff like that.

Also, Red Queen would need to do constant, live monitoring of air quality to detect any contamination in the Hive. Finally, most important, Red Queen needs to communicate the events with Umbrella board of directors. The squad sent into the Hive had no idea what happened, only that the Red Queen malfunctioned, killed all staff, and sealed the Hive, suspecting a computer glitch. Had they known about the biohazard, response would have been drastically different. Beyond that, it's plausible that someone with top clearance like Spence could access a sample, take it out of the hotlab and into an exterior where he knows ventilation system is not enclosed, and break a vial. The Red Queen did the only reasonable thing it could, purge the Hive and seal it.

Most likely, the AI had additional instructions in case the infection spread, namely, to study the virus in action. One thing is for sure: The AI had no plans to save people. For AI they're all just lab rats. But this is just a movie and Resident Evil games never been logical.
