Resin Craft Kit For Kids?! (Purple Ladybug Photo Charms Resin Craft Kit Review)

In today's video I'm reviewing a resin craft kit for kids, specifically the Purple Ladybug photo charms resin craft kit. Now I wasn't sure whether a resin craft kit should be made or marketed towards kids, however I thought this little resin craft kit was pretty decent, and very well priced! After making the resin charms, the results were really good, and the quality of all the materials was impressive too. Although these resin photo charms aren't targeted towards someone like me, I think this little resin craft kit could be enjoyable for some kids out there, and I suppose it would be interesting for kids to learn about resin. But what were your thoughts on this resin craft kit for kids? Do you think that the Purple Ladybug photo charms resin craft kit is a good idea? Or would you not want kids playing around with resin? Also if you have any other craft kits or resin based projects you'd like to see on the channel, then leave your suggestions in the comments below!

I’ve never tried resin and a small kit like this might be a good introduction before I decide on something more complicated. I might use it to make some pet charms. Always love your videos! You brighten my day!

Oh definitely! Plus it's a cheap introduction to resin, gives you the basics etc to get your head around it, and resins really easy to use once you get the hang of it! Ah and thanks Janis! Hope your resin crafts turn out great! 😁😁

Well that made a nice change watching you use a decent kit .🤩 just proves that there are some out there lol . I have bought some resin to try but haven’t got round to it yet, this video has inspired me to get on with it. Excellent as always thank you Anthony xx

It was a really good kit for the price! I was expecting the worst which I think made it even better! Oh definitely try some resin! It's quite a fun material to use, and not as scary as some people think it is lol! But glad you enjoyed the video Ruth! 😁😁

That is one cool kit for kids Anthony I was never really into resin but after watching a lot of your resin videos it has made me want to try it maybe I should buy one of these kits lol also when my kids were little I would have let them use it but with supervision and the safety equipment which is great it is all in the kit so thanks again for another great watch I will be checking this company out have a great week Anthony hugs to your fur babies

Thank you for another lovely video. I definitely agree that resin is t for kids. I used to work with resin but after feeling poorly while using it I did some research and it can be dangerous without a face mask as it’s damages the lungs. I had to get hubby to remove every trace of the resin and instantly felt better. There is so many horror stories online of people becoming poorly using it. I’m sorry to be Mrs Doom and gloom lol. Xxx

What a cute kit. I have a niece who might enjoy it but shes older. Idk if I would let an 8 year old use it. Probably depends on the 8 year old.

I’m not a parent either but I’ve been using resin for years and wear a full on respirator and gloves… I’m afraid kids would def end up w epoxy on their skin or gods forbid in their eyes 😳 they just don’t have the ability to understand having fun but being super careful at the same time cuz this stuff is toxic. At least I wouldn’t think so. I know I certainly wouldn’t let my nephew use it. It is a great value tho

Hi Anthony that does look like a great little intro kit I’ve been using resin for about two years and I reckon my success rate is still around 70% it’s easy to stuff it up haha x

I think the kit has the large gloves because the adult is supposed to do the mixing. I do fumble speak as well 😆

I am a parent of creative children and also a resin artist. I agree that resin for kids is not acceptable as there are dangers attached to using resin . I'm in many groups where people are increasingly having reaction to resin. Maybe a jesmonite kit which you've tried. Would be better idea but kits must include mask

I really wanted to see you walk around with it on your bag!! My kids would be allowed to use this, but all safety would be used and I'd have to use some of my stuff instead of theirs.

Hey Ant! Congratulations on this week's success! :-D I think with a lot of adult supervision (with the adult doing the dangerous bits) it's good for getting kids familiar with resin and learning to treat the medium with caution - I think adult crafters using resin for the first time often underestimate the harmful side effects. And a nice bit of shade right at the end of the video where you say 'I wouldn't put it on my bag...' ;-D ;-D

No way I’d let my kids go with any resin kits .. even at older ages! My 17 yr old would have sticky everywhere 😩 Nice kit tho .. I just looked & it’s $12.99 (in the USA September 1,2021). Definitely a great deal 👌💯 I may get it to make magnets & just cut the hanger nibs off the molds. Thanks Ant 😍🙌👏👏👏 awesomesauce even with your little shortcut. Which I cannot believe you got away with. Papers normally look oily or wet if it’s not sealed 3 or 4 times with mod podge or something similar. I bet you can’t pull it off again lol 😂 Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed you so much!!!

Loved the video! Got so excited when I saw there was a new one just up. That’s a pretty nice starter kit and cheap. But no. No. No. No. I’m a mom, and after working with resin for a couple years now, there is no way in hell I would let a child use that kit, even if I were standing right there. At age 8 my (extremely bright now that he’s grown up) son couldn’t even help me make simple pan cookies. So yeah... no. Like another commenter says, children and resin, what could possibly go wrong? 🤔🤣

Speak for yourself though. Some children are actually artists out there I guess yours just isn't. Me life's too short. If I ever get myself a little mini me, I'm gonna let them have the world. They can use resin all they want as long as they aren't messing up the house. In fact imma get em a suit wear while working in crafty with the stuff.

@@Cheerleader644860 I'm a mom of a 7 yr old and I've taught her well enough how to do a lot of things, she can even sew by hand! We're very hands on parents though, my kiddo could probably make cookies all by herself minus the oven insertion part. I think if your kid has shown responsibility with projects that have big rules like resin, I think it's fine to do. My fiance got me a kit for my birthday and I figured it'd be fun to do with my daughter. Of course I'll help her pour it and we'll wear gloves and I might even make her wear a face mask because of her asthma, but it's all up to what the kid themselves can handle. Then again, girls are a little easier to do these sort of things with, maybe her son just isn't into this kind of thing so imagining it being a disaster for her isn't farfetched but that doesn't mean that he can't be an artist in other areas! Every kid has their talents, it's up to the parents to show them the way and let them learn. I think a lot of moms underestimate what their kids can do if given the chance. I know when me and my kiddo do it together, it's going to be a bonding experience in itself. And her birthday is coming up so I think I'll make her a cool LED light so that she always has something to remember the first time we both tried to make a resin craft together. ❤️ So cute, right?!

i seen a resin like craft kits sold in asda and made so confused how it is safe for kids hahah, although i use decorom resin and its voc and bpa free so alot safer than most others

I can't see why children can't use resin providing their wearing protective glasses, masks & gloves & are properly supervised, I remember using resin when I was at boarding school in the early 70's, tho' back then we didn't use gloves, masks or protective glasses..... Tho' there should be an age limit to how old a child is, I was about 11 or 12 when I used it to make key chains & paper weights..... I've just recently got back into resin craft & Prehaps get my grandsons into it when they are a bit older they are 6 & 7 at the moment so in another 2 or 3 years time they might be OK to have ago at it 😊😊😊👍

Yeah I think it's mainly the fumes that can be quite harzadous. I've never been too bothered with the fumes myself but if I ever had kids (which would never happen) I'd make sure they did it outside or somewhere with plenty of ventilation 😊

Do these kits not require the user to wear a respirator?

It didn't say no, it just mentioned to use it in a well ventilated room (windows open etc)

@@AnthonyCrammen gotcha, it seems like a cool little kit...I have a respirator and use it when I use resin...and I'll make my daughters anything they want...I just don't trust resins and stuff when I've seen manufacturers leave off health information

Resin, Glitter, Moulds Chains and Kids. What could possible go wrong. Sometimes nothing. Probably because you left out the kids, tantrums and subsequent visit to A&E.
