The resin lightbulb mould looks like it may be a difficult one to use, but one that will create awesome resin castings. I test it out in this video to see how to use the lightbulb mould and how easy it is to cast and demould when cured. The results are glittery, which I love.

One thing you can also do if you'd like to take the lights out, you can use double sided tape on the back of the lights, and press it in, so they can be removed. I'm glad you showed how to demold the big one. I have this same kit, and I haven't yet tried that one because I was worried it'd be hard on my hands to unmold. 💙

I pour the mold in parts, which is also useful for a number of flowers per layer, then pour the mold to the last piece, you then have a straight piece where the fitting fits without sticking it. you can remove the fitting to replace the battery.

Hi :) love these molds, they come out very easy if you put them in some water with a bit dish soap. They really jump out of the mold :) they are lovely if you decorate them as a little aquarium.

Hello from Oregon, USA. Enjoy your channel so much. I have a tip: with an eyedropper, drop a tiny bit of soapy water into the molds and they just squeeze out like nothing. Got that tip from Just Resin. Also, how do you change the batteries if they are epoxied into the fixture? Thanks and glad to buy you a cup of coffee soon.

I have a lamp mould, but it came in a kit and they didn't give me enough resin. I'm so mad. However, I'll use my iwm resin and I will get more of the flowers etc and led light that came with it!!! Thanks for the light bulb 💡 idea!!!

I got these molds as a gift and have been too afraid to cast them. They looked like they were going to be a real pain to demold and decorate. Thanks for giving me a simple way to do it that's also very pretty. Is there a way to put stickers inside on the mold itself? I have some that I'd like to try but I'm worried they might slide down or float while curing. Thank you Steve. You're the best.

Since you glued the end on, how are you going to change the battery when it dies?! 😬 How can we attach the top so that it's removable in order to change the battery, yet won't just fall off when we set it down? I've got these molds, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the bottoms of mine are not smooth. They've got the indentation of the stand on the bottom. Like my resin is too heavy or something. I'm going to try the resin in the link because mine ALWAYS has so many micro bubbles, no matter how slowly I stir it or how long I let it sit before pouring. I've tried many different brands, and they're always thick & heavy, and have bubbles ☹

That looked like a nice big lead layin!g on your desk. I think this will be one I'll pass on, arthritic hands and that mould just don't go. I wonder why they don't make a double casing so that it's not just one big lump of resin. Having said that they did looks lovely with the flowers in hand lights on

I know this video is 2 years old but I knew you would have all the answers 😬 I bought a kit, made 2 lightbulbs, have the screw on base and then a pack of large round batteries. Those are neat but I would have figured out another way to attach the base instead of glue as once you do that the you can't change the battery. I would likely drill holes in two sides then use screws to keep them in place. I may have to get those molds and try it. I do love how the end result looked. Thanks for sharing! - Heidi

The top of the mold isn't high enough to drill holes. I wish they made the top higher, so that we could use your idea, and because there's so much room from the top of the finished product to the top of the metal piece. The mold should come up higher so that the metal piece fits better over the resin & will stay on without gluing it. It would be great if it could actually screw in!

I am gonna be the odd one out I guess- I don't really like these all that much. Most of the glitter sank to the bottom and is now on the top of the bulbs, and most of the flowers floated to the top. Maybe they would look better if you mixed the glitter in after the resin had thickened a bit, and only filled them half way, then added more later so that you had the flowers more equally distributed. Also, try silver glitter, because it won't change the overall color of the flowers as opposed to the gold which will. Do you have any UV resin? You might be able to use it to stick the flowers on along the surface of the bulbs with it, then add in the rest of the longer curing 2 part resin. I see a lot of potential with these- wouldn't a dried rose bud on a stem be nice!

I'm highly allergic to resin , I wear gloves , long sleeves, n masks, still break out, my hands r so bad, my skin is just so scared, n down to the last peace of skin, n cracked open. My heart is so broken, plus we got so much money in it, we Finley got to do something we abasulty luv to do, n hafta stop pouring. But , we luv watching ur videos. Keep makeing them, n we'll keep watching them. Truly blessed but heart broken. Thank u 4 the videos

Ummm...I think you'll find 'mould' is the green stuff on your cheese, and a 'mold' is a shaped container....yup. 🙂

That resin is extremely yellow looking. Didn’t you already do this? I could have sworn you did and made a follow up on how to make them differently so you can change the battery.

i got these molds and was not happy at all on how they turned out so now i have these light bulb molds that i don't ever use. My opinion are garbage

I agree I got these months ago used 2 of my 4 lights and deleted my video entirely because even I didn't want to see it again.... I was so disappointed because I was so excited to get them. They are hard to do nicely and the system for on off basically makes them impossible to sell in any way except in person. Jostled in mail on off on off dead before they arrive retail space 1 person leaves it on dead before it can sell... thats how my 2 I did went....

Sorry but these are not awesome results. All the glitter has sunk to the top of the bulb which I would have classed as a fail if I’d made it. Thanks for the explain of how to make them but I would like to see how to do it without glitter falling to turn top. Thanks 😊

If you fill the mould a little bit more (right to the stop) you create a 'neck' to the lightbulbs, that way you don't have to glue the tops on so you can replace the little batteries when they run out. I found that when the batteries start to run out, the light bulbs flash on an off for hours without being touched, which was quite annoying ...
