Do you need to make fake alcohol or beer for a theatre show or scene? Perhaps you just want to prank someone or make a display piece. Well whatever your reasoning, this is the video for you! This is an easy hack using resin to make realistic fake beer! You don't need any fancy colourings either because I just used kitchen spices!

Love your videos! I have an etsy shop- where with other items- I also sell fake drinks. so far, my most popular is either Mountain Dew or Sprite 🙂 to make my sodas appear more "real" I stir the ever loving life out of the resin- this creates tons of bubbles- which looks so realistic!

Love this! Doing some last minute props for Singing In The Rain and need to make champagne. I bought the resin, need to get the catalyst- but I was wondering if you had suggestions for how to create the color?

If you don’t have regular resin mix ins like I had here, you could try a food colouring or maybe a lighter spice of some sort

I don't know anything about crafts, but I have a tiny mason jar I want to make look like a beer. Can you buy these ingredients in smaller quantities, since you said resin was expensive?

You can buy resin in smaller quantities yes and if you go to a boat place it may be cheaper again, I got it from a hardware store which is why it was so expensive

Greetings from Jackson, GA USA. I am doing a "cosplay" of an Australian actor: Mr. Greg Pead aka "Yahoo Serious" from the 1988 movie Young Einstein. In the movie this character invents bubbles in Beer and there are several scenes where Beer is shown. I'd like to re-create a Beer in a Pilsner (plastic) glass so I have to ask? do you have an ingredients list / measurement list as to what should be added to resin to give it that "Golden" Beer look? I'd also like to know what you added to the resin to give it that foamy white head on top? I believe I have an outlet for just the right amount of resin and hardener but? as you said....this stuff isn't cheap so? I have to get this right the first time. Your help in this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, firstly thanks for asking and watching my video! I have used a combination of things before. I have done paint before with baking sofa and acrylic paint to make it look foamy. You could also maybe do a second layer of resin at the top and use something like a straw her hair dryer to create air bubbles. I think the rougher you mix it, the more bubbles will appear. For the white, if you dont have an offical mix in you could try baby powder I think that might work or flour but I think powder is less likely to clump if that makes sense

Out of resin? It would be the same as this one but just using a different colour additive I would presume. I might do another video on this soon because I too am curious

@@ThatPropsGirl excellent. I have never used resin. Never even heard of it. I want to use plastic champagne flutes in a wreath….. resin popped up as a medium. the other option was to add gold glittery glue into the glasses. But that certainly won’t look realistic.
