U.S. President Joe Biden recently signed the Promoting a Resolution to the Tibet-China Dispute Act, also known as the Resolve Tibet Act, calling it the U.S. “commitment to advancing the human rights of Tibetans and supporting efforts to preserve their distinct linguistic, cultural, and religious heritage.” We sat down with Tenchoe Gyatso and MP Dorjee Tsetan to understand what this bill means for Tibet and the Tibetan aspiration for self-determination. Does Biden’s acknowledgment of the ‘TAR’ and other Tibetan areas as part of the PRC serve to placate Xi Jinping?

You are right. Dorje Tseten did not mention Kashag and was lapping up ICT like a lap dog. Tencho Gyatso also did not mention Kashag in the whole interview despite Sikong throwing tsampa at her and that useless Doncho millions of times at every given opportunity at the expense of failing to thank the US government and the Congress. She made it seem as if it is all thought out and done by ICT and how ICT plans to do similar in other countries in the future. When you listen to Sikong, he speaks about "what next" and how he plans to work for similar legislation in other countries. Is ICT supporting CTA or CTA supporting ICT? Many of my friends are confused as to who is the real Sikong of Tibet now? Tencho Gyatso or Penpa Tsering? Or is Sikong Penpa a proxy Sikong,? Yabshi Sikong? Amdo Sikong? or Tencho Gyatso's Sikong?

Tibetans must thank US Senators and Congressmen and of course His Holiness the Dalai Lama and political leader Sikyong if they are thankful. I do not understand some people here in the comments putting Tencho Gyatso equal to Sikyong. Please snap out of such peasant mentality and remember we are in a democratic society. It is a fact that Tencho is a niece of His Holiness and His Holiness is our everything. But the fact of the matter is Tencho is only a President of a Tibetan NGO ICT just like Gonpo Dhondup is a President of Tibetan Youth Congress and Tsering Dolma is a President of Tibetan Women's Association. Will you put Gonpo Dhondup and Tsering Dolma as equal to Sikyong just because all share President's title? Will Sikyong give as much special credit to Gonpo Dhondup and Tsering Dolma if they are in the same situation as now given to Tencho Gyatso? Reasons, as someone rightly commented below, are Amdo connection, family connection and personal connection.

Also, the concept of one Tibet including the "TAR" and other Tibetan areas has been there for long over the past many years among the exile Tibetan community. This has been the never-ending vision and efforts of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, late Lodi Gyari and even included in the Memorandum on Genuine Autonomy for the Tibetan people.

Both Sikong PT and Tencho Gyatso said ICT was established by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to lobby American officials. If this is so, then ICT must be made accountable and answerable to the Tibetan Parliament as to their political and financial activities. I hope Tibetan Parliamentarians raise this matter in the Parliament.

Sikong PT should never forget to thank the Senators who sponsored the Bill. Rather than thanking the Senators, Sikong irritates many of his own supporters when he uses all those time in the interviews to thank Ari Doncho and ICT people. One thing is Tibetans are Tibetan and it is the duty of every Tibetan to work for their nation. Secondly, it is the duty of Doncho to do what needs to be done and so nothing special. Thirdly, except for Richard Gere, nobody at ICT is working for free.They actually draw the fattest salary check than any Tibetans. Fourthly, Sikong's top responsibility is not to act as spokesperson for opportunistic NGO to build the profile of nepo-products like Tencho Gyatso who everybody knows is Sikong's pet and has not enough credentials to be ICT's President. Sikong's priority as a people's leader should be to to work for all Tibetans without any discrimination and any special treatment for Amdowas keeping in mind the bigger picture and higher purpose. Or else people these days are intelligent and knows all the politics and propaganda inside out. Thank you US for your Tibet support!

@@tibetmusicvideos7593 So, we do agree and accept that it is a "flaw" on the part of Sikong for his diversion tactics of thanking "insiders" rather than "outsiders" for what the "outsiders" without any pay and privileges have done for Tibet and Tibetans. Majority are appreciative of the overall effort that everybody has put in. But people these days are also not fools to turn a blind eye to what all these are being made into and for whom and for what purpose and why. Political games being played at CTA and Gandhen Phodrang are not as "minor" as you see it.

😢😢😢The US President signed the Tibet Act and then said something we have never heard in the past 60 years. Before, China claims “Tibet/TAR is part of China” and US also maintains this policy position. But, this time the US President said NOT ONLY TAR, BUT “ALL TIBETAN REGIONS ARE PART OF CHINA.” This is the US President saying and it is the US policy! Did Sikyong PT, ICT Tenchoe Gyatso, or Ari Dhonchoe say “Tibet is part of China” to the US President’s office or did Sikyong make his routine gaffe? This is funny Kashag and Sikyong is asking people to celebrate in spite of this first major drawback in exile police in the past 60 years! I respect the US Senators and Reps. But I am very disappointed with the US President for this major policy setback. We Tibetans are suffering, and this is a salt over injury! 😢😢😢 I am eagerly waiting for Tenchoie Gyatso’s husband Lobsang Gyatso who was endlessly taunting Harcard scholar Sizur Dr. LS when Tibet Act was passed during his time in 2020! It is funny and weird to see fellow Tibetan brothers and sisters celebrating for an US Act prefaced with “Tibet is part of China.” Next year, on 10th March, I am worried that people will bring placard reading “TIBET IS A PART OF CHINA” 😪😪😪 Here we have a nepo girl and her entire family playing this dirty politics here! The entire Tibetan world with its share of NGO, association, friends and supporters worked for this and we traveled to DC at our own expense to appeal the Houses. But because of her family connection with Sikyong PT and Ganden Phodrang, this lady Tenchoe Gyatso, of all NGO people, goes to India everytime these is someone from US visiting and have a photo-op! Now, someone complains about Chitue Dorje Tseten, and suggested Lekshe, PT's right-had man and the regular face on Tibet tv! Lekshe is Yabshi Tenpa Tsering’s nephew and PT is Tenpa Tseing’s in-law. People are missing the bigger and a more serious picture here of what is actually brewing. There is no problem with PT, Tenchoe Gyatso, and Tenpa Tsering (Tenpa traveling to DC and elbowing Buchung la) to take the credit, but I am worried about what they intend to do and what they can do in the near future and in HH’s absence! Our society is rotten from the core, and our leadership and traditional leaders stink! They demonized Harvard legal expert and Khampa guy Dr. L Sangay (who I agree is colorful and loud, but was never corrupt and never said “Tibet is a part of China”). To this day, there is not a single proof against Dr. LS. Now people are having complaint against another Khampa Chitue Dorje Tseten! I think Dorje Tseten will have done more work on the ground than PT, Tenchoe, and Tenpa Tsering put together! Butr Dorje is wrong, it is not any XYZ, but the US President prefacing the Act and saying: “Tibet is a part of China”! This is exactly what PT la stated and what he seem to want as he had not retracted to this day!

I don't trust Lekshey, who is Yabshi Tenpa Tsering's nephew and Tenchoe Gyatso's relative! PT and all are related! We need fair and unbiased people like Dorje Tseten!
