Welcome to another episode of The Biannual Travellers. In this episode, we stayed over at Resort Hotel at Genting Highlands Malaysia. Which was previously closed due to Covid 19 Pandemic, but the hotel has now reopened.

Wow ..the room rate has shot thru the roof over about 6 to 7 years . I recollect paying about $40 per night at Resort Hotel back in 2015/2016. Yes, they should provide basic amenities given they charging $200+ per night.

Previously before Uncle Lim passed away, i still can book this hotel. But after that, under his son management, i totally cannot book this hotel. Now if i want to go stay in Genting, i need to pay 5 star price for 1 star standard in First World Hotel. Genting is suck under his son.

Recently stayed at this hotel. Though the hotel was reopened only a year ago, the corridor carpet needs changing because it is rather old. Room is clean and carpet is better condition than those in the corridor.

Try crockford hotel next time fanastic but u pay around 450 a night

We would love to try crockford hotel out the next round, heard they have amazing room views. Guess we have to wait for off peak periods for the price to come abit lower.

Hi, just want to ask is it really cold in Genting even the months of April& May. I noticed most of the hotel don’t have aircon. what if you don’t open the window does it still cold?

Around this season, genting is roughly 16-20, max around 24 degrees at night. If windows are not open, it might be stuffy.

Hi, I’ve watched your both videos for skyworld hotel and resort hotel, may I know which hotel you’re most recommended? As this 2 hotels have the same price. Thanks!

Hi, we would highly recommend skyworld hotel, as the deco is much fresher.

This is so much better than first world hotel deluxe room. The toothbrush set can be bought at vending machine for RM5 at first world hotel and there should have the vending machine at this hotel also.

Hi, there used to have a vending machine at first world hotel selling such toothbrush sets, but that was before covid,puzzled why they removed such a convenient vending machine.

@@johnheng3277 oh yah, i mis read as they removed the machine at first world, my bad hahaha. But yah there should be such machine at the hotel if they don’t provide them, but on this price point of $200+ SGD it should be provided 😅

Hi, Skyworld Hotel is located right opposite and connected to Skyworld themepark.

@Sredaran Hi, you can get to B5 of resort hotel and walk across the road from there to skyworld Hotel. There are afew signages at resort hotel B5 pointing towards the direction of skyworld hotel.

Hi, yah room amenities are at the bare minimum, compared to skyworld hotel which has more amenities and bottled water and is located right opposite this hotel and with the similar price.

Hi, free wifi is only at the lobby area.

Hi, it depends on if you will be traveling with kids. Skyworld will be more kids friendly.

@@thebiannualtravellers thanks for replying. nope no kids, all adults. now only resort, skyworld and first world is avail for the period im gg so am so torn with the options.

@@michellelim9367 For the convenience of food options and location near to sky Avenue mall and casino, first world hotel will be better. Resort hotel and skyworld Hotel is nearer to the top of the hill and themepark, roughly about a 5-minute walk away from the sky Avenue main shopping area.
