Thank God! 🙌 Reading through the Joe Rogan Podcast videos, it did seem like a majority agreed with James and ridiculed Chris, but intuitively, James' debate seemed to have several holes, weak points, tactical distractions, and as mentioned, several fallacies! Thank you for this video. It's great to hear things from an ACTUAL expert!

There were no holes that I could find. James strongest content in his debate came with the most important points on protein, protein quality and B12 in a plant based diet. James proved all he needed to to show his movie Game Changers was accurate.

It's really astonishing that every 2 out of 3 comments are about debating this or that guy. Did no one figure out already that a debate is not a fruitful exercise if you actually want to find out the truth? A debate almost always becomes a competition. I don't really care about winners in debates, I just want to know the truth, or whatever is available to this point. I much rather hear it on a template that does not include interruptions, haste, physical intimidation or anything of the sort. If anyone has a grievance, just make you oppising video. Why does Islam attract more converts than any other religion? One major reason is that Islam says: "Refugees welcome" to those fleeing failing liberal social and religious institutions. Let me explain. Liberal secularists promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal. Nevertheless, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by liberal secular norms, people stop marrying, having children, and practising religion. Put differently, the liberal is fundamentally a hypocrite - despite what he or she might say, no liberal person is actually interested in being part of a liberal marriage, a liberal family, or a liberal religion. Matters are different when it comes to Islam. Muslims also promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal. Moreover, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by Islamic norms, it boosts marriage, birth rate, and religious practice. Put differently, the Muslim is actually interested in being part of a Muslim marriage, a Muslim family, and the Muslim religion. The current era is an era of refugees fleeing from liberalism. Liberal marriage, family, and religion have collapsed. As a result, refugees from liberal societies seek marriage partners abroad, and if they practice any type of religion , it is a non-liberal version whose centers are located abroad. Islam is the most obvious choice for them.

10:56 did you take into account estrogen receptors on breast and prostate cancer cells? If you eat dairy which has mammalian estrogens and you have cancerous cells in the breast or prostate coupled with the increase circulation of estrogen because of a leaky gut, will cause those types of cancerous cells to grow faster. It's like throwing fuel to the fire.

Wheat fucks up my stomach and too much peanut butter and almonds make my joints (especially my hips) hurt. Steak makes me feel like a champ - no joint pain and no stomach issues. These dweebs never even got into the the glaring fact that many of us react to plant and animal products differently. Idealized lab numbers for leucine protein efficiency blah blah blah. etc are pretty useless when those real world foods make you feel like shit or inflame your joints, or give you headaches, or give you the shits or exacerbate and flare up auto-immune conditions or just taste fucking horrible. Oxalates, lectins/gluten, phytates etc.. pick your poison. There is a lot more to plant food than lab values. Same with meat and animal products as well. A lot of interrelated factors involved, and reducing the argument to isolated variables is not very helpful. Not gonna live my life eating foods I hate and that make me feel horrible because there is some research paper somewhere that says it is supposed to be better for me somehow.

Both Joe and Kresser were so exhausted after the first hour, they seemed to lose motivation to keep up with James. The first hour of the show was like trying to convince James that up was up and down was down. Maybe this was James's strategy because he got WAY more aggressive when he could see Joe and Kresser getting exhausted with trying to explain basics to James. I could barely keep my eyes open trying to track James's nonsense, he was looking for any angle to win points and it didn't matter what was said to him in rebuttal.

Obviously, it’s still possible to lose weight on any diet - just eat fewer calories than you burn, right? The problem with this simplistic advice is that it ignores the elephant in the room: hunger. Most people don’t like to “just eat less,” as it may result in having to go hungry forever. Sooner or later, many will likely give up and eat without restriction, hence the prevalence of “yo-yo dieting.” While it should be possible to lose weight on any diet, some appear to make it easier and some to make it much harder. The main advantage of the low-carb diet is that it may cause you to want to eat less. Even without counting calories, overweight people tend to eat fewer calories on low carbs. Thus, calories count, but you don’t need to count them.

In the end I was left confused and I think most people are like that when it seems that even eksperts( self proclaimed or with credentials) can't agree on basic nutrition . I absolutely love your videos, you make sense of all the bullshit

The JRE debate was terrible because James was so aggressive and Chris was so meek. So it was too easy for James to push his bias and agenda and run Chris over with it, even though James’ logic was super flawed and contradictory in many ways.

Man, you earned even more respect from me hearing this...Such a thorough, calm and collected view of things, explained in an easy to understand manner. A bit of context: As a 10-year lifting dude, I have started lifting listening to your videos and have progressed immensely, even using your PHAT program at one point. I truly thank you for that. I am now on a carnivore diet for 6+ months, and even though most of my results came from a high carb diet, I DO see positive changes moving forward. I was sad to see your debate with Saladino go in such a hectic back and forth, and I am really really glad to see your demeanor and composure shine in this one. I hope you keep it moving forward, as you DO have a lot to say. Cheers.

That debate was 2019 in a nutshell. Call fake news on anything you disagree with, call other people out on logical fallacies & then use the same ones yourself. James is great at arguing. His doco is pretty convincing. Too bad they had to mislead people, rather than just stating the positive things about whole foods.
