In Genesis 1:1 the word "Beresheet" (בראשית) contains inmediatly the word "Son" (בר) with the two initials letters. Thats it's huge. -Also the word "Beresheet" can also be broken down into 3 parts, or 3 words. Putting them back together makes you the word Beresheet, but the separate meaning is impressive. Here is the point: בר + ראש + שית = בראשית (Beresheet)= Bar + Rosh + Shayith= Son + Head + Thorns We know the stories of Abraham and Isaac, the ram caught his head in a thicket, and the story of God when He appeared in the burning bush to Moses, but the mayor point is The Messiah, LORD Jesus and we also remember in His head the crown of thorns. -Also the word "Create" have his root in the word Son, because is "Bara" (ברא) and have Bar (בר). An we know the Son is God the Creator, who makes the heavens and the earth. -Also we know by the WORD of God, all the things were made. The WORD is our LORD. And also the word "WORD" have his root in Son, because is "Debar" (דבר) and contains the word Son (בר). -Also, at the begining of the book of the prophet Ezekiel, he have his call and his vision in the river "Qebar" (כבר), the name of that place have the word Son involve as the root word (בר). Ezekiel also sees God in His glory as human figure at the end of that initial chapter, the Son of Man. I think it is interesting that BAR means Son. I am reminded of when Pilate was asking the crowd in Matthew 15…”It was the governor’s custom during a festival to set free one prisoner, whomever the crowd asked for. 16 There was at that time a notorious prisoner being held, named Yeshua Bar-Abba. 17 So when a crowd had gathered, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to set free for you? Bar-Abba? or Yeshua, called ‘the Messiah’?” So the crowd shouted Bar-Abba which means…SON OF THE FATHER. By their own voices they were shouting that the Son of the Father Yeshua, should be released.

Psalms 2:8 (JPS 1917) this verse completely refutes any anti-messianic interpretation of Psalms 2. here, God is saying, ask me and i will give you the nations as your inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession. did David have the nations as his inheritance? did he receive the ends of the earth as his possession? no! which means this is not speaking about David. a lethal slice against the rabbinic interpretation so, who has the nations as his inheritance? The Messiah! in Dan 7:13-14 it says the son of man (the messiah) will receive divine worship from all nations. in Is 42:1-5 it repeatedly says the servant (the messiah) will judge the nations. so its the messiah who judges, is worshiped by all peoples. in fact this is also re-iterated in Gen 49:10, where it says the nations will be obedient to Judah (the messiah) meaning, psalms 2 is a messianic prophecy also, who has the ends of the earth as his possession? The Messiah! in Psalms 72:8 it says the messiah will rule from sea to sea and up to the ends of the earth. in Zach 9:10 it says the king (the messiah) will rule the ends of the earth. in Micah 5:4 his greatness will reach up to the ends of the earth. its the messiah who shall have the ends of the earth. meaning psalms 2 is a messianic prophecy Then in v.9 it says "you shall strike them with an iron mace" that is exactly what the messiah is said to do in Isaiah 11:4. this is more proof for psalms 2 being a messianic psalm. Gents, thank you for providing supportive solid information. Pointing to Yeshua is Messiah. A Jew, the law calls, rabbi's are reluctant to recognize the words they read in the Torah and Haftarah. Gamaliel, Hillel, Rashi, and many others often contradict each other. Then, of course, " the sages." Some of those sages are full of manure! Ever since I've started following the teachings of Yeshua, all the pieces fit. I believe because I have studied the Torah and the prophets, and concluded Yeshua is who he said he is. He is our beloved long awaited for Messiach. He is the One, the Holy One so often mentioned. Moses could not even look at the Most High, yet Joshua worshipped the Holy One face to face. I am one of the people who believes that God will not let his words be corrupted, which both the Old and New testament are, and that he can and will protect his own message for his people, not just the Jews but everyone that Jesus died for. I am happy that more people, Jews, Muslims etc. are beginning to hear the call of Jesus the Good Shepherd.

Hebrews 10:5-7 (KJV) [5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: [6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. [7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Psalm 2:12 בר isn't "The Son". Firstly, the word בר appears throughout the Bible. It either refers to grain, as we find in Genesis, or purity/clarity. Secondly, if you think that this one word in this Psalm is Aramaic - and, note that there is no Aramaic in the Book of Psalms - there's still a problem, as בר in Aramaic mean "son" or "son of", not the son. In Aramaic, "the son" would be ברא. Now I'm quite certain that while parts of Psalm 2 are quoted in the NT, 2:12 is not. That means that the Church fathers themselves didn't think this verse was worthy of note as some proof of their beliefs. In other words, the notion that this Psalm refers to The Son is nonsense, and even the Church fathers didn't buy it.

SO MUCH FOR THAT: As i was reading along with you (Psalm 2) i realised that my german "Einheitsübersetzung-Bibel" (which is actually a CATHOLIC one i have since childhood) is not speaking AT ALL about The Son in verse 11/12 ! In verse 11 it says Serve the Lord with fear / and kiss his feet with trembling, 12 lest he be angry / and you perish in the way. I'm not catholic anymore thanks be to God, so i know already that catholicism is a fraud, however i'm really shocked that they actually did corrupt Psalm 2 !!

It’s also a message to each believer who comes to Jesus Christ, that God has begotten them in the new creation (adopted the lost as a child of God) and that God will be their father forever. It’s about being Born Again in Christ. Many verses have multiple meanings; one being that of representing Israel or history, and the other representing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and God the Father in the heart and mind of each believer.

The apostle states "this day have I begotten You" (Hebrews) refers to Messiah being raised from the dead after His crucifixion and burial, ... He as Man was glorified in full immortality and as the Eternal Son, now to be given ALL authority and power both in Heaven and on earth... Lord of all as Philippians 2 says. "First begotten from the dead" appears a number of times in Scripture. Birthing can also mean brought forth, or brought out. The resurrection from the dead is a greater event than a birth - bringing forth from the womb of a mother, for the former is eternal, the latter is temporal.

The New Testament doesn't quote that phrase or statement, so by just looking at it, it can have three possibilities of meaning. Maybe it says: *"Kiss ye a Son"* or *Kiss ye a Pure One [Innocent One] (בַּר: BAR)."* Kissing was used for greeting, showing affection & homage to a King. King David's use of an Aramaic word in this Hebrew prophetic Psalm would be fitting since the New Testament was originally written in Aramaic. The Greek NT is a first century translation. Yeshua is many times called BAR "the son of" in statements such as: "the Son of Man (Son of God, etc.). Words like "Anointed One, Leader, etc." are often left indefinite in Hebrew even when there is only "one" of them; probably b/c of their multiple contextual meanings. YHWH told Shemuel to make Shaul *... a leader (נָגִיד: NA-GID [sing.]) over My people." (1 Sam. **9:15**-16).* Now was there more than one king? No! NE-GI-DIM [pl.] can also mean "captains (leaders, rulers)." So there were other NA-GIDs. If the phrase means: "Kiss ye PURITY (בֹּר: BOR);" that doesn't negate this prophetic Psalm being about Yeshua (Isho). Paulus often talks about having "purity" (1 Ti. 4:12; 5:2). Inanimate nouns can be personified as kissing, having children, etc. *"Kindness (Mercy) & truth have met together; Righteousness & peace HAVE KISSED [each other]." (Ps. 85:10).* See also (Matt. 11:19). 1st Note: The Aramaic word BAR (בַּר) is both an indefinite noun pronunciation "a Son" and the construct pronunciation "the son of." Roshi denies the entirety of the scriptures pointing to the promised Messiah. He is the one twisting the scriptures here. You guys are on point. The take away is that "You are my Son; today I have begotten thee" is talking about the resurrection of Jesus from the grave not his birth. Judas had kiss the Son though. But even after kissing Christ, Jesus called him "friend" showing that his wrath was only kindled just a little, but Judas could not see the forgiving nature of Christ. So I would say "Kiss the son means" to put your trust/faith in the Messiah

I would argue that there are about a thousand ways in which Jesus is the Messiah. This is just one of those. Jesus is Lord God Almighty in so many ways.
