In this video you are invited to watch as the Tandoor Chef Hanif & Head Chef Siraj reveal their recipes' for making their Naan Bread & Special Butter Sauce + also watch some Curry making "kitchen action". This is our third video at this restaurant.
EGGLESS NAAN BREAD RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Milk (Dudh).
* Salt (Namak)..
* Vegetable Oil (Tel)
* Sugar (Karn).
* Yeast
* Self raising Flour (Atta)
* Luke Warm Water (Offaruh Pani)
All of the above are kneaded together into a dough covered with clingfilm and left in a warm place for 1/2 hour and them kept in a fridge ready for use.
SPECIAL BUTTER SAUCE RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Fresh Peeled Tomatoes Pureed
* Salt
* Chilli Powder (Lal Mirchi).
* Paprika Powder
* Coriander and Cumin Powder Mix (Dhana Jeera)
* Turmeric Powder (Haldi).
* Black Pepper
* Butter (Makhan).
* Garam Masala
* Red Colour
* Oil
* Garlic finely chopped (Lasun).
* Ginger Paste (Adrak).
* Kastoori Methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves).
All of the above cooked and then used as and when needed for "special dishes" such as Tikka Masala and special dishes.
VEG KOFTA CURRY RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Butter Ghee
* Fried Balls made with Potato, Carrot and Cabbage.
* Chopped Tomato.
* Onion.
* Garlic finely chopped.
* Ginger Paste.
* Tomato Puree
* Special Butter Sauce
* Curry Powder
* Chilli Powder.
* Onion Gravy (made with Onion, Tomato, Coriander & Cumin Powder, Chilli Powder and Salt)
* Salt.
* Garnished with Fresh Green Coriander and a wedge of Tomato.
ALOO METHI RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Ghee
* Onion.
* Chopped Tomato.
* Capsicum.
* Garlic
* Ginger
* Curry Powder
* Chilli Powder
* Peeled Tomato Puree
* Fenugreek Leaves
* Kastoori Methi
* Onion Gravy.
* Fried peeled Baby Potatoes.
* Topped with Coriander and a slice of Tomato.
CHILLI GARLIC PANEER RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
* Paneer Cubes coated Corn flour & Salt and then deep fried.
* Ghee
* Onion
* Capsicum
* Chopped Tomato.
* Green Chilli
* Garlic
* Ginger
* Peeled Tomato Puree
* Chilli Powder
* Salt
* Curry Powder
* Onion Gravy
* Water
* Garnished with Green Chilli slice, Green Coriander, Fresh Tomato slice and Fresh Garlic Puree.
This is Indian Vegetarian food at it's very tastiest.
Note that; in Indian restaurants dishes are cooked on a very high heat which delivers a slight smokiness to the cooked food and gives that distinctive restaurant flavour and character to a dish.

This is one of Leicester's Golden Mile's "Secret Desi food places" (the Golden Mile stretches from Belgrave Road all the way up to Melton Road) call it Leicester's "little India" if you wish.
This is another video from our recent week long foodie visit we made to Leicester (in Oct 2018) especially to record some of the most famous and popular food places there (some established many decades ago when East African Asians arrived in the UK having fled the Idi Amin regime) some of the East Africa Asians settled in the streets in and around the Belgrave road and Melton Road area (a stretch of road affectionately known as the " Golden Mile").
Most if not all of the restaurants here are very homely and welcoming and it does not feel like you are eating in an unfamiliar café or restaurant but more like eating at a friend or relatives place.
