Hi Mike. When removing the screws from the doors,I first drilled a small hole down center of screws,they came out really easy. Put stainless steel ones back in,with lots of copper grease. From a rainy Manchester. Terry d

Hey mike, greetings from England! Good progress on your projects.... I’m watching you try to loosen the screws on those door hinges.... And I wonder if you ever heard of a shake n break? I saw it on mustie1, and had to have one for me. It’s an attachment for an air hammer, so you can gently undo seized screws

yea those work pretty good.

Hey Mike! I have been running around like a chicken with his leg cut off? Rambus has been stalling . I thought it was the carb. So I put the 32/36 prog. EMPI carb on it. It got worse , so I got a new coil - fuel pump regulator - did a compression test ? It still got worse. I said what the heck and put the old dist. back in it and bingo it cleared up . The dist. that caused all of this I only had it in there for 3 months . But that is what I get for buying a 40 $ dist. I got it because to get my bill over a 100 to get free shipping at Cip 1 . It has to be its condenser . You mite say what do you expect for 40 bucks but the old dist I got for 17.50 back in 1987 and I never changed the cond. On the 55 bug if you water down the Ospho like 1/3 you can get the film off and it etches it at the same time. Try a test piece to get the right percent of water .
@Mikefngarage2 жыл бұрын
yea I have gone pointless on every car that the condenser goes bad. Even the bosch ones go bad pretty quick unless it is an 80s bosch. then I run it till it goes. Then I put a pointless one in. even some of those are bad Petronix or compufire all the same as empi as far as I know. I run the Empi (cheaper and I think same quality) ones pretty good luck. but buy 2 just in case keep one in the glove box on a long trip. Dont hook it up backwards or your totally screwed.

OSPHO IS THE BEST / first coat , leve it / sand it / second coat , whip it off , go to go.
@Mikefngarage Жыл бұрын
I have tried ospho and Ultra rust converter. ospho leaves a residue. but rust converter ultra does not and has stronger active chemical. you can see it work faster Try rust converter ultra. you wont be disappointed.

Nice work, I have a question, I'm doing the body work for my 1968 similar as your are doing yours, but when I weld, some times I opened holes instead of weld the metal piece. I already drop the temperature for my MiG welder. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
