I guess it would be more interesting if you showed where missing parts are coming from. Other toy restorers are either 3D printing them, ordering online or having donor cars, but they show it or mention at least.

wow, this video is very meaningful for me because i actually owned the very similar model with yellow roof about 15 yrs ago though it is stucked somewhere in my warehouse, it is good to retrace my childhood.

I found this kinda funny, especially when you leaded it. You see, back in auto body school so very long ago, I worked on the real thing.. I think every class did for a while. The owner insisted it get only lead, no plastic body filler. Three was so much lead in the body that the body was rubbing the wheels...without even an engine in it. Finally one of the instructors finished it up, but it still had a ton of lead in it. If they ever got an engine in it, it better be potent. bet it would handle well though, since most of the lead was low on the body. Nice work, do you like working on this scale of model? I have lots of them that need repairs. Most are missing parts. I've got a "lead sled" that only needs the paint touched up, and a Daytona that well it's in about as bad of shape as this one was, but not quite.

I did the big ones for 45 years,got this video by accident thinking it was a full scale vehicle,its the same labor of love,you got to love it,taking throw away to some is gold to others,i've had clients who bought a hulk and had me transform it to incredible,this guy is a perfectionist,so am I,some people give a damn

What he does is buy a brand new toy car, removes the "Missing " parts, then "Destroys" the Model by setting it on fire, burying it in mud, etc. Next he "Restores" it and puts the "Missing " parts back as if he "Found " replacement parts. It's all fakery.

Watching some of the thumbnails, some pretty recent models seem to be messed up in the same manner, right now, I am watching thumbnails of a Nissan GTR and a Murcielago, both rusty and with no paint. Is that what he does? How is he able to find modern scale models already beaten into shit? Unless...

You can buy repro parts online. There are loads of companies that specialise in it. Watch any diecast restoration channels, you'll see what I mean. You can buy anything for toy restoration from the Web, community, or swap meets.
