You can make new pins with oversized thread. You have lathe. Helicoil with rusted pins not have sense. Don't use oil or lithium grease for pins. Use special grease TRW PFG-110 or other special grease. For piston seal use special grease Huskey Slipkote 220-R or other special grease

Haces trabajos increíbles que otros no pueden o quieren hacer, pero en este caso es mucho trabajo para este resultado. Cómo vas a compensar el material que falta en pistones y pinza? Y la chapa de tope de las pastillas con un clavo 😂😂. A veces compensa más tirar la pieza y buscar una usada en buen estado.Saludos y a por el siguiente vídeo 👏👏

Great job! ....but I'd have used vaseline instead of "blue" grease, to avoid rubber damages. Regards from Brasil.

É complicado, até hoje não vi uma oficina que use graxa certa nessas borrachas, com poucos meses estão as 2 estufadas e caindo aos pedaços. Eu uso uma graxa mineral que tenho da época que fazia manutenção em suspensão de bike, não agride em nada e tem uma boa viscosidade, depois de meses ela inda tá lá intacta

@@WolfMoonSs sim é complicado, hoje vejo muita gente cometendo esse tipo de equívoco. Sempre tive e tenho uma moto clássica, onde a manutenção preventiva bem feita é a lição de casa para a longevidade. Já cansei de ver pinças como esta mostrada no vídeo, e embora tenha essa aparente "vacilada", o cara é um puta profissional de tornearia.

Muy buen trabajo, pero la chapa que hace tope con las pastillas que remachas con un clavo, realmente lleva 2 pestañas por el lateral la sujetan a la pinza de freno, por lo demás trabajas muy bien, hasta el próximo vídeo. Saludos. 👏👏👏

Nice work and entertaining video. Tip - use non hardening thread seal for gas pipes or teflon tape on the bleed nippel to avoid spillage when bleeding out the brake fluid. /Henrik

I usually pin the end of the thread so the insert will not back out when removing the sliding pin

For sure It will come out since he used the thread locker on the sliding pin and not on the threaded insert as well

Any "normal" painting wouldn't last longer, the only way to have a good and resistant coat on this exposed parts is through an electrostatic coating

Why not get new parts,sliding pins etc if your refurbishing callipers?

Work on the machines - always on the level. But assembling the caliper is a great instruction on how NOT to do it! Do not install rubber elements on brake fluid and lithol (any mineral lubricant). The first will lead to jamming of the pistons, and the second - to irreparable swelling of the rubber.

Most of the parts that were sanded are just plain iron/steel, so they are prone to rusting. The next logical step would be to invest in a nickel plating station (not that expensive) :D

I tried to repair an old ZXR250 block with a hole punched through from a rod, the welder i took it to warped the case pretty bad and i gave up.

18:35 you need silicone grease in those sliders. bearing grease will work but not as efficient as silicone grease

Типа починил, а по факту нет. Суппорт сожрало набок из за убитых направляющих и посадок под них. Крайняя колодка под которую делалась фрезеровка в пружинную скобу как упираться будет? Она даже не встанет туда, и автор не включил в ролик как он спиливает с колодки этот упор в пружинную скобу. А приклепанный боковой упор это вообще фиаско братан. Неужели нельзя было выпилить правильной формы упор с боковыми ушками для фиксации??? :))) А как он вставлял поршни обратно... Если бы ты вычистил канавку под резинками то вставлялись бы поршни легко от руки вообще без усилий.

Я тебя очень уважаю,как мастера.Но на этот раз ремонт был на троечку.Суппорт будет болтаться ещё больше,так как его пальцы остались старые,да еще прошлифованные.Все защитное цинковое покрытие было удалено,а нового не было,все это быстро заржавеет.Пальцы надо было делать новые,и оцинковать их.

Работа на станках - всегда на уровне. Но сборка суппорта - прекрасная инструкция, как делать НЕЛЬЗЯ! Нельзя устанавливать резиновые элементы на тормозную жидкость и литол (любую минеральную смазку). Первое приведёт к заклиниванию поршней, а второе - к непоправимому разбуханию резины.

Резина там соответствует и от тормозной жидкости ей не поплохеет. Поршня он не понятно чем мазал но думаю что тормозухой. А так видео дрочерство сплошное с красиво раставлеными в кадре деталями. И самое главное, он просто проточил пальцы, что новые поставить религия не позволяет? И вишенка на торте, по ведру смазки на каждый палец)))

@@moguchy473 Суппортов перебрано много, поршня с тормозухой вставляю(ходят годами без проблем), пальцы да, спецуху или силикон для прессформ. А ты чем поршеньки мажешь, если не секрет?

Мда, жаль ты не показал, как за кадром, уменьшал толщину ушка в которое вставляется штифт, который держит колодки. На видео видно 20:29 что стопор из проволоки вставляется МЕЖДУ колодкой и ушком. И по заводу это работало, ибо колодка не доставала до ушка потому что она упиралась в выступы на тех трёх когтях. Но в начале видео ты отфрезеровал все три выступа и получается и теперь нет зазора между колодкой и ушком. И теперь либо колодка будет стоять криво, либо ты за кадром уменьшыл толщину ушка и теперь колодка не зажимает намертво проволочный стопор к ушку. 2. Гвоздь! Реально?! Там пластина по заводу имеет 4 выступа по кругу, а вы сделали всего лишь 2 выступа, а ещё два не дают пластине перемещаться в лево-в право. Но вы вместо двух выступов заколотили туда ГВОЗДЬ. Такого я еще не видел!
